We've utilized The Waterford for respite stays, and we loved it. We would have put my loved one there long-term except they don't have memory care. Even though the building is old, the people were so nice. The care was great. And the food was good.
It was the best place we could have taken my parents. Very homey vibe. Staff gets to know residents and makes them feel welcome. Often found someone in my mom's room visiting her. I highly recommend this facility.[name removed]has an unbelievable staff.
Our loved one lived at Hillcrest Mable Rose, and we couldn't have been happier with the place! It was a beautiful community, they took great care of the residents, and they did a wonderful job with the meals! We had no complaints at all with the services they provided! The only issue we had was some confusion about when her medicaid could kick in, which ended up being longer than was feasible for us, unfortunately.

Nursing homes, also called skilled nursing facilities, provide long-term care for seniors with significant physical or mental health conditions, and short-term care to people recovering from an injury or hospital stay. Nursing homes provide personal assistance and medical care from licensed professionals. Services in skilled nursing facilities often include:
A nursing home provides room and board to at least two persons who have no familial ties to the administrator. A nursing home facility provides its residents with care by registered nurses. These caregivers offer care for seniors who cannot properly take care of their needs.

Some services come at an extra cost which can include personal comfort items, special care services not included in the facility’s Medicaid payment, and specially prepared food. Examples of amenities and servicesoffered at nursing homes might include adult day services , personal care (including dressing, bathing, and toilet assistance), help with shopping and transportation, and friendly visitor programs.
