Morning Pointe of Danville

Our first choice! We just experienced the difficulty decision to place my mother in Senior home. It was so very hard, but Morning Pointe made this process very easy. We are very satisfied with the care she is receiving. I am amazed at the care and compassion that all the staff shows! My mother is being taken care of and my family feels much better now!

Parkview Manor in Danville, KY

I would recommend the community to others. They are friendly, and informative. The communication could be better, not sure if this is because of COVID, or because they are busier. The administrative is also similar to the care staff.

Bridgepointe at Ashgrove Woods in Nicholasville, KY

Overall pleased with care and communication with us on how the resident is doing. Do not see many activities happening or success in getting resident involved.

Nursing Homes

A nursing home community provides room and board to two or more seniors who are not related by marriage or by blood to the administrator. A nursing home community offers its occupants 24-hour care administered by on-site nurses. These caregivers offer maintenance, personal care and other health related services for seniors who are unable to properly care for themselves.

This type of community is a familiar and comfy living choice for persons 65 years and above, however nursing homes will commonly admit individuals 55 and greater which is for other senior care types. A significant portion of nursing home inhabitants are seniors who have incontinence issues, require assistance with daily tasks such as bathing, have a physical or mental disability, or experience difficulty with hearing and vision. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to be free from discrimination, get proper medical care, have protections against involuntary transfer or discharge, and form or participate in resident groups. Examples of amenities and services provided at nursing homes can include patient and caregiver education, monitoring of medication, injections, and intravenous or nutrition therapy. Many occupants of nursing homes might have behavioral difficulties. These can consist of a tendency to wander, verbal outbursts, or resisting care. A significant amount of residents are bachelors or widows with smaller social support groups, and about fifty percent of nursing home residents are over the age of 85.
