It is a small close network. My loved one loves it, and feels they are at home. The communication with the staff is amazing. It is personalized, and call you on everything about your loved one. The community was strict with their rules during the pandemic. You now have to show your vaccine card and can't come in for 10 days afterwards, and you must set an appointment to see your loved. The community only had a low percentage cases of COVID the entire time of the pandemic.

Nursing Homes

A nursing home is a community that houses two or more seniors who are not related by blood or by marriage to the administrator. A nursing home community provides its residents with around-the-clock care administered by registered nurses. These nurses offer specialized care for seniors who cannot care for themselves.

This type of community is a helpful and comfortable care option for individuals 65 years or older, however nursing homes will frequently allow persons 55 and above (a rarity in the world of senior care). As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to spend time with visitors, to manage your money, get proper privacy, property, and living arrangements, and get information on services and fees. Some services come at an extra cost which can include cosmetic and grooming items, personal reading materials, and personal clothing. A large portion of nursing home inhabitants are individuals who have a physical or mental disability, experience difficulty with vision and hearing, require assistance with daily tasks such as getting dressed, or have incontinence issues. Nursing homes are required to provide nursing and related services, specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability), pharmaceutical services, and dietary services to residents. The most common mental condition experienced by residents of nursing homes is dementia, which can hinder their and their sense of familiarity, decision making abilities, and memory function.
