The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful by answering all questions and inquiries about the facility. Was willing and able to show us what their clients had available for a full day at the facility. All of my family members could not attend the first appointment and the staff made themselves available at the convenience of the other family members. Response from Prairie View Assisted Living
May 4, 2024We appreciate your kind words, we at Prairie View make our residence and their families are highest priority. Please as always let us know how were can help in any way. Thank you for the review.
Mom was placed right before Covid hit so in their defense they couldn't leave the property and we were not allowed to go in. We would conduct visits through the window. Mom has dementia so she was really confused and couldn't understand why we didn't visit. What little activities they did have they didn't encourage Mom to join in.. If she said no they just left it at that. She gained 50 pounds while she was there. On the bright side the aides were very pleasant and seemed to treat Mom with respect. I have moved Mom to a memory care here in Florida since I'm here full time and my sister is here 7 months out of the year. She is much happier and is involved in many activities.

It is a small close network. My loved one loves it, and feels they are at home. The communication with the staff is amazing. It is personalized, and call you on everything about your loved one. The community was strict with their rules during the pandemic. You now have to show your vaccine card and can't come in for 10 days afterwards, and you must set an appointment to see your loved. The community only had a low percentage cases of COVID the entire time of the pandemic.

I can't say enough about the staff. They were always so caring, supportive and helpful to mom. Mom was getting acclimated with the community. They respected there residents and had good food and a clean community.

At Prairieview Assisted Living the staff was good. The price was right. The facility was small so he got more one on one care. I was very pleased with this facility. It was a good experience. I give it very high ratings.

We are very satisfied at this point. She seems to be very happy there. They have a good menu. They were one of the more reasonably priced places. There really isn't anything I would like to see improved or done better. They are doing a very good job.

A Place for Mom has scored Prairie View Assisted Living 6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
