We are so thankful for and pleased with St. Andrews. They have been very caring and helpful. I appreciate the time they take to educate us on items, when needed. They always reassure when calling that nothing's urgent, but just wanting to share information. It's comforting to know my Dad is in a good, safe place that is relatively convenient for my Mom to visit daily. She loves getting to know the staff on a personal level. Thank you for your assistance in helping us choose the right place for Dad.
We chose Cambridge House of Maryville because it was recommended to us through family members, they said that it was a well-managed facility. The room sizes here are good, but I do think the kitchen could use some more space. Overall, it is a small community and everyone gets along well here. I would and have recommended for the deaf community. I do think they need an interpreter here to help with communication, that would be very helpful.

Nursing homes, also called skilled nursing facilities, provide long-term care for seniors with significant physical or mental health conditions, and short-term care to people recovering from an injury or hospital stay. Nursing homes provide personal assistance and medical care from licensed professionals. Services in skilled nursing facilities often include:
A nursing home is a building that offers housing to at least two seniors who have no familial ties to the administrator. This type of residence provides its inhabitants with 24-hour care administered by on-site nurses. These caregivers provide care for people who are unable to take care of themselves due to the effects of aging.
Nursing homes can be a familiar and comfy care choice for individuals 65 years or older, however nursing homes will often accept persons 55 and above which is uncommon for other senior care types. The most common mental condition experienced by residents of nursing homes is dementia, which can hinder their decision making abilities, and familiarity with their surroundings, and memory function. Many inhabitants tend to be bachelors or widows who have smaller social support groups, and about half of nursing home residents are older than the age of 85. Nursing homes are required to provide dietary services, specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability), nursing and related services, and medically-related social services to residents. Many occupants of nursing homes might have behavioral problems. These can consist of verbal outbursts, resisting care, or a tendency to wander. A large portion of nursing home inhabitants are persons who have mental or physical disabilities, experience difficulty with hearing and vision, require assistance with daily tasks such as walking, or have incontinence issues.
