Oakwood Village Prairie Ridge Independent Living Apartments a CCRC in Madison, WI

The week day staff is compassionate and well trained and employed by Oakwood. The weekend staff is hired from an agency and the care and compassion is lacking. They are working on fixing this but claim there are not enough people interested in this type of work.

Spero Heritage in Watertown, WI

Heritage Homes is my choice for the place I call "home". It offers the amenities I value, such as central air conditioning, a parking garage that is easy to navigate in, craft room usage for my prized stash of craft materials, spacious living in square footage the size of a house, quiet home space, and privacy, privacy, privacy. Opportunities for socialization are available for me to choose or decline. Communication from administration is excellent. Respect and friendliness are abundant. Heritage Homes is regularly part of the community newspaper due to its focus on senior advocacy and connection to local living. In subjective summary, I would [removed] I left my house to live at Heritage Homes, but I did not leave my home, sweet, home.

Milestone Senior Living Stoughton

The staff that is there are wonderful, they have done a great job given the circumstances but there is a high turnover rate outside of the day to day staff. The director is trying her best, but communication with the staff and families has started to lack. The life enrichment coordinator is fantastic and wonderful, she wears many hats there. We want them to improve, once stability is provided everything will fall into place.

Lake house was a great place I would recommend it. They took very good care of my mom when she was there. My mom had a pet and they took it outside for her, great service.

Independent Living

For many seniors, the burden of home ownership and the maintenance of daily tasks and chores might be a deterrent to enjoying an otherwise independent lifestyle. Independent Living Communities offer a good alternative. You or your loved one may continue to use their free time as they wish while their meals are prepared by a professionall chef, housekeeping and laundry duties are handled by staff, and social activities are scheduled and organized. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to be among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and backgrounds. Typically comprised of a private living area and a full kitchen, these communities offer homes with many of the amenities of apartment life but without the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and there will be more time to spend with them with the basic maintenance of daily tasks out of the way. While policies differ between locations, a number of residences allow pets as well. If medical or nursing support is desired, residents may always utilize the services of independent care providers. There are a number of costs and benefits to consider when deciding on an independent living community. It is important to learn if these services are included in the service plan: wellness program, field trips, private phone, transportation, parking, initial assessment fee, move-in fee, and Waiting list deposit. The luxuries that pertain to independent living include beauty salon & barber shop, healthcare center, community activities, private rental hall, concierge services, transportation, fitness center & swimming pool, and security guards.
