I've been a resident at Oakwood Village Prairie Ridge since the Grasslands independent living apartments were completed in July 2019. My wife and I couldn't be happier. We have a spacious apartment, beautiful views out our windows, a sizeable screened-in balcony, and upscale food that has grown to a 5-star restaurant and Bistro. The Prairie Rose Restaurant makes everything in-house. They have a full-time pastry chef. With appetizers like a Charcuterie Plate and Bruschetta, you can only imagine the taste of high-quality steaks, pork, chicken, fresh salmon, and more. There is a special every day. If you enjoy wine with lunch and dinner, they have an excellent selection. Our lunch and dinner desserts are all made in-house. Oakwood Village Prairie Ridge has so many activities every day that tenants get a 16-page monthly calendar with all event dates. But, best of all are the fantastic, friendly, caring employees, and so many tenants are our friends.... Read more

The week day staff is compassionate and well trained and employed by Oakwood. The weekend staff is hired from an agency and the care and compassion is lacking. They are working on fixing this but claim there are not enough people interested in this type of work.

My tour of the Oakwood Village went well. The assisted living housing was a small room with a bathroom and no kitchen. It felt very much like a hotel room. The staff was very professional and nice, they gave me a lot of information to take home and read on which was very helpful.

Hi Rob the place was amazing! We loved everything about it.My parents would have a long wait they would be number 8 on the list. So this place will not work out. We are not interested in the west side facility yet.

Very Nice, I really liked that Oakwood has a SNF so that when mom's age / condition worsens she will be able to stay here by just moving to a new section of the facility.

After moving our mother from another facility that wasn't providing the care she needed, our family couldn't be happier with our mother's experience at Oakwood Prairie Ridge. Every staff member we dealt with was not only wonderful with our mother, but also showed genuine concern for our entire family. Her time in the Knolls and the Meadows allowed us to see the staff not only interact with her, but with others as well. They genuinely supported us all and made sure she was comfortable her entire time there. We highly recommend Oakwood Prairie Ridge to other families looking for a place that provides high-quality, compassionate care in a beautiful facility.

About 2 years ago I had to have Open Heart Surgery and rehabbed at the Rehab Center. I was their for 3 weeks and I saw an awful lot of the campus. Participated in all sorts of activities and meet a lot of people.

Friendly Atmosphere! Warm, clean and comfortable environment. Minimal employee turnover. The Director is a gem to work with. On site "resturant style dining" option was nice. Bright light and outdoor gardens. 1 year ave. wait for assisted living availability. Small rooms in memory care. No kitchenetts in assisted living rooms. Odor in memory care section. No transportation off site, limited activities.
