Oakwood Village Prairie Ridge Independent Living Apartments a CCRC in Madison, WI
4.0

The week day staff is compassionate and well trained and employed by Oakwood. The weekend staff is hired from an agency and the care and compassion is lacking. They are working on fixing this but claim there are not enough people interested in this type of work.

Spero Heritage in Watertown, WI
4.7

Heritage Homes is my choice for the place I call "home". It offers the amenities I value, such as central air conditioning, a parking garage that is easy to navigate in, craft room usage for my prized stash of craft materials, spacious living in square footage the size of a house, quiet home space, and privacy, privacy, privacy. Opportunities for socialization are available for me to choose or decline. Communication from administration is excellent. Respect and friendliness are abundant. Heritage Homes is regularly part of the community newspaper due to its focus on senior advocacy and connection to local living. In subjective summary, I would [removed] I left my house to live at Heritage Homes, but I did not leave my home, sweet, home.

The staff and the administration are willing to listen to our concerns and expectations, and do all they can to meet them! I would recommend the Meadows of Fall River to anyone!

Independent Living

If you or your loved one want the peace of mind of having your housekeeping taken care of while living at your own pace, you might consider the option of independent living. Food preparation, recreational activities and housekeeping responsibilities are handled while you are able to use your time as you wish. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to be among peers, in a community with others of similar age groups and interests. Typically consisting of a private living space and a full kitchen, these communities offer homes with many of the amenities of apartment life but with none of the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily chores out of the way. While policies differ between communities, numerous residences allow cats and dogs as well. Nursing and health care services can always be arranged for with independent care providers if desired. There are a variety of benefits and expenses to balance when selecting an independent living community. It is important to determine if these amenities are included in your care plan: private phone, housekeeping, cable TV, utilities, laundry, parking, initial assessment fee, and transportation. The conveniences that pertain to independent living include concierge services, golf course, community activities, transportation, game/TV room, healthcare center, private rental hall, and laundry service.
