Brookdale Middleton Century Avenue

Thrilled with the care and attention my Mother received while at this Brookdale. It felt like I was pet of a family! The food is wonderful and I enjoyed that when visiting. They also have fun activities for residents and their family members. Thanks for all you did and I would highly suggest anyone to move their loved one into their community.

Oakwood Village Prairie Ridge Independent Living Apartments a CCRC in Madison, WI
4.0

The week day staff is compassionate and well trained and employed by Oakwood. The weekend staff is hired from an agency and the care and compassion is lacking. They are working on fixing this but claim there are not enough people interested in this type of work.

Milestone Senior Living Stoughton
4.0

The staff that is there are wonderful, they have done a great job given the circumstances but there is a high turnover rate outside of the day to day staff. The director is trying her best, but communication with the staff and families has started to lack. The life enrichment coordinator is fantastic and wonderful, she wears many hats there. We want them to improve, once stability is provided everything will fall into place.

Mineral Point, Wisconsin

Independent Living

Many seniors may be physically and mentally capable of living without assistance, but cost of owning a home and the maintenance of the property might deter them from enjoying an otherwise independent life. Independent Living Communities provide a convenient solution. You or your loved one can live their lives as they wish while their meals are prepared by a professionall chef, housekeeping and laundry duties are handled by staff, and recreational activities are scheduled and organized. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and interests. Within the individual units, residents have access to their own private living space and a full kitchen, and can even live with a partner if they prefer. While policies vary between locations, numerous residences allow cats and dogs as well. Nursing and health care services may always be arranged for with private care providers if desired. There are a variety of benefits and costs to balance while deciding on an independent living community. It is important to figure out if these amenities are included in your care plan: move-in fee, initial assessment fee, cable TV, wellness program, parking, private phone, field trips, and meals. The benefits associated with independent living include fitness center & swimming pool, transportation, security guards, laundry service, restaurant-style dining hall, healthcare center, beauty salon & barber shop, and game/TV room.
