Sunridge at Desert Springs in El Paso, TX
4.7

My Mother has lived at Sun Ridge at Desert Springs for 8 years. She has been very well cared for and treated like a beloved family member. It is a homelike environment that is clean, bright and nicely furnished. The employees/caregivers treat the residents like family and I appreciate the fact that they always let me know the slightest change in my Mother's condition. I know I can drop by any time and my Mom will be in clean clothing and ready for company. It makes me feel good knowing that Mom is well taken care of when I can't be with her and she is happy and she has always genuinely seemed to genuinely liked the staff. If I ever have a concern or issue I know I can go to the director and have questions answered and problems solved right away. That gives me peace of mind and the knowledge that Mom is safe and comfortable.

At the time, she was in Assisted Living and had the most personal feel. Also location and newness of the facility. Overall it's been good with a caring staff. Mostly good communication with leadership. Like most places, they need more staff. But I would recommend

Good Life has been a blessing! I thought after losing my father I would have to worry about memory care for my mom but I was wrong. Good life has given me peace to rest at night knowing my mom is loved and cared for. Good life is so clean and it never smells bad. My mother is always spotless. My favorite thing was when we moved her in we were able to decorate her room like home. I love that I can see my mom at anytime of day. I truly recommend Good Life to anyone who has a love one in need.

Independent Living

If you or your loved one want the convenience of having many of your frequent tasks taken care of while living the way you desire, you might consider the option of independent living. Basic tasks such as meal preparation and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and social activities is maintained, allowing residents the autonomy to use their time as they see fit, free from daily responsibilities. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and interests. Typically comprised of a private living space and a full kitchen, these communities offer homes with many of the amenities of apartment life but with none of the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily tasks out of the way. While policies differ between communities, a number of residences allow cats and dogs as well. If residents decide they would like to enlist the services of independent medical professionalls, they may always do so. There are an assortment of costs and benefits to consider while deciding on an independent living community. It is important to learn if these amenities are covered in the plan: initial assessment fee, laundry, Waiting list deposit, meals, internet access, field trips, housekeeping, and transportation. The luxuries associated with independent living include transportation, security guards, laundry service, golf course, restaurant-style dining hall, healthcare center, private rental hall, and beauty salon & barber shop.
