Parkshore Senior Campus in Saint Louis Park, MN
4.9

Being out of state we do not get to visit that much, however when we do speak with our loved one she does seem to enjoy the meals and dining service. We do think the overall value for the money is good and based on our experience so far we would recommend the Parkshore Senior Campus to other families.

Bel Rae Senior Living in Mounds View, MN
4.7

We chose Bel Rae Senior Living because of the newness of the building, the friendly and helpful staff members, and the overall accommodations as well. He has a 1 bedroom apartment and it is a little on the smaller side if your have more furniture. The food is ok and they keep striving to improve it. Overall, I would recommend to others who are looking.

Meadow Woods - Martin Luther Campus in Bloomington, MN
5.0

I think they do a great job at Meadow Woods! The staff here is very friendly and easy to work with. They've been very accommodating in regards to some billing issues we've had in regards to getting funding with the VA straightened out. The facility itself is well kept and clean, and they do a great job looking after the people who live here!

Independent Living

Independent Living Communities offer seniors a balance between an opportunity to live an independent lifestyle and not having to worry about chores. Occupants may continue to use their free time as they desire while their meals are prepared by a professionall chef, housekeeping and laundry duties are handled by staff, and recreational activities are organized and scheduled. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and interests. Within the individual units, residents have access to their own private living space and a full kitchen, and can even live with a companion if they prefer. While policies differ between locations, a number of residences allow cats and dogs as well. Nursing and health care services can always be arranged for with independent care providers if desired. There are a number of benefits and costs to keep in mind when determining an independent living community. It is important to learn if these services are covered in the service plan: laundry, cable TV, initial assessment fee, housekeeping, Waiting list deposit, transportation, move-in fee, and field trips. The benefits and amenities associated with independent living include transportation, restaurant-style dining hall, security guards, private rental hall, laundry service, golf course, game/TV room, and healthcare center.
