We chose Bel Rae Senior Living because of the newness of the building, the friendly and helpful staff members, and the overall accommodations as well. He has a 1 bedroom apartment and it is a little on the smaller side if your have more furniture. The food is ok and they keep striving to improve it. Overall, I would recommend to others who are looking.
My mother stayed at Wellhaven her last two years. It's a warm, caring environment where the staff puts residents first, providing support without being intrusive or pushy. They try to help seniors maintain as much independence as possible. The atmosphere among the residents is quite social. Mom arrived there from out-of-state, without knowing anyone but us in the area, but quickly made several good friends among the other residents and staff. When it grew apparent that the end was coming, they worked miracles to keep her in her apartment with her beloved cat. I can't recommend Wellhaven highly enough.
I think they do a great job at Meadow Woods! The staff here is very friendly and easy to work with. They've been very accommodating in regards to some billing issues we've had in regards to getting funding with the VA straightened out. The facility itself is well kept and clean, and they do a great job looking after the people who live here!

If you or your loved one desire the peace of mind of having your housekeeping managed while living the way you want, you might want to consider independent living. Occupants can use their free time as they desire while their food is cooked by a professionall chef, housekeeping and laundry duties are handled by staff, and social activities are organized and scheduled. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and interests. Residents’ quarters consist of private living spaces, each with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering opportunities to entertain guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies differ between locations, many residences allow pets as well. Nursing and health care services can always be arranged for with independent care providers as desired. There are a variety of costs and benefits to consider while determining an independent living community. It is important to determine if these services are included in your service plan: field trips, wellness program, transportation, laundry, housekeeping, utilities, move-in fee, and meals. The amenities associated with independent living include concierge services, security guards, restaurant-style dining hall, transportation, healthcare center, fitness center & swimming pool, golf course, and private rental hall.
