The staff at Talamore are very nice, helpful, friendly and approachable. They go out of their way for us to have a pleasant experience. My loved one has 19 meals included in her rent and she has liked everything she has tried, especially the build your own omelet and the fish. The building is very clean and my mom enjoys going down for coffee every morning. Move in process went smoothly and the maintenance manager was very accommodating to our needs. Making friends is easy in the communal areas and during the many activities that are provided. We would definitely recommend The Talamore Woodbury for all of the above reasons!
Being out of state we do not get to visit that much, however when we do speak with our loved one she does seem to enjoy the meals and dining service. We do think the overall value for the money is good and based on our experience so far we would recommend the Parkshore Senior Campus to other families.
We chose Bel Rae Senior Living because of the newness of the building, the friendly and helpful staff members, and the overall accommodations as well. He has a 1 bedroom apartment and it is a little on the smaller side if your have more furniture. The food is ok and they keep striving to improve it. Overall, I would recommend to others who are looking.

Independent living offers a stress-free lifestyle for older adults. Independent living communities don’t provide personal care or supervision, but do offer generally healthy adults opportunities for socialization and hassle-free living. Independent living services often include:
Many seniors may be physically and mentally capable of living without assistance, but the burden of home ownership and the upkeep of the property might be a deterrent to enjoying an otherwise independent life. Independent Living Communities offer a solid alternative to this situation. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to be among peers, in a community with others of similar age groups and interests. Residents’ quarters consist of private living spaces, each with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering an opportunity to socialize with guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies vary between locations, numerous residences allow cats and dogs as well. If medical or nursing support is desired, residents may always utilize the services of private health care professionalls. There are an assortment of expenses and benefits to keep in mind while selecting an independent living community. It is important to learn if these services are included in your plan: laundry, wellness program, field trips, cable TV, initial assessment fee, utilities, housekeeping, and move-in fee. The luxuries associated with independent living include security guards, laundry service, concierge services, game/TV room, beauty salon & barber shop, restaurant-style dining hall, transportation, and private rental hall.
