Being out of state we do not get to visit that much, however when we do speak with our loved one she does seem to enjoy the meals and dining service. We do think the overall value for the money is good and based on our experience so far we would recommend the Parkshore Senior Campus to other families.
We chose Bel Rae Senior Living because of the newness of the building, the friendly and helpful staff members, and the overall accommodations as well. He has a 1 bedroom apartment and it is a little on the smaller side if your have more furniture. The food is ok and they keep striving to improve it. Overall, I would recommend to others who are looking.
I think they do a great job at Meadow Woods! The staff here is very friendly and easy to work with. They've been very accommodating in regards to some billing issues we've had in regards to getting funding with the VA straightened out. The facility itself is well kept and clean, and they do a great job looking after the people who live here!

Independent living offers a stress-free lifestyle for older adults. Independent living communities don’t provide personal care or supervision, but do offer generally healthy adults opportunities for socialization and hassle-free living. Independent living services often include:
Many seniors may be physically and mentally capable of living without assistance, but cost of owning a home and the maintenance of the property might be a deterrent to enjoying an otherwise independent lifestyle. Independent Living Communities provide a solid remedy to this situation. Seniors may use their free time as they see fit while their meals are cooked by a professionall chef, housekeeping and laundry duties are handled by staff, and social activities are scheduled and organized. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and interests. Typically comprised of a private living area and a full kitchen, these communities offer residences with many of the amenities of apartment life but without the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily chores out of the way. While policies differ between locations, a number of residences allow pets as well. If residents decide they would like to employ the services of private medical providers, they may always do so. There are a variety of benefits and expenses to consider when determining an independent living community. It is important to determine if these services are included in the service plan: Waiting list deposit, transportation, private phone, initial assessment fee, wellness program, field trips, cable TV, and move-in fee. The benefits and amenities associated with independent living include restaurant-style dining hall, security guards, community activities, concierge services, transportation, fitness center & swimming pool, game/TV room, and healthcare center.
