Fairing Way - A Rice Eventide Community in South Weymouth, MA

It's a good environment for our age group and the amenities and activities are sufficient enough to keep us engaged and comfortable. We picked this community, because of the location and cost.

Cornerstone at Canton
5.0

The Compass neighborhood at Cornerstone of Canton has been a blessing for my mom and my family. She was very reluctant to leave her home, but she finally did and has found a whole new life at Cornerstone and absolutely loves it there. Can't say enough about how wonderful it is, the activities, the meals, the special events are great. The residents really love them and I love seeing my mom so engaged in all the activities. The staff is wonderful to say the least, friendly, helpful and loved by my mom which is very important to me and my siblings. Shout out to [name removed]! She is always so patient and kind and helpful whenever I reach out to her with questions or concerns. I am so happy we chose Cornerstone for my mom, she is so happy here!!!

Village at Proprietors Green in Marshfield, MA
5.0

The communication with the family is very good. If there are any mistakes the community takes responsibility. They have done a good job at making my loved one is comfortable, social with other residents, and feels at home. There are three meals a day served and there are choices for the residents to choose from. Some of the activities available are concerts, outdoor picnic dinners, games, exercises, and more for the residents to choose from. The maintenance team is responsive to requests made by the residents. There is a loud hum when the heat comes on in the apartments in the community. The community stated this is consistent across the board and they are aware of this noise.

Independent Living

Independent Living Communities provide seniors with a convenient balance between an independent lifestyle and not having to worry about housekeeping. Basic chores such as meal planning and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and leisure activities is provided, allowing residents the autonomy to use their time as they wish, free from daily responsibilities. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to be among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and interests. Residents’ quarters consist of private living spaces, each with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering opportunities to socialize with guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies differ between communities, many residences allow cats and dogs as well. Nursing and health care services may always be arranged for with independent care providers if desired. There are an assortment of expenditures and advantages to keep in mind when selecting an independent living community. It is important to determine if these services are included in the plan: meals, move-in fee, initial assessment fee, utilities, housekeeping, field trips, private phone, and laundry. The conveniences that pertain to independent living include community activities, transportation, concierge services, laundry service, healthcare center, fitness center & swimming pool, game/TV room, and beauty salon & barber shop.
