I chose Lake Forest Village because of all of the things above that are 5's. I looked at others and none of them even compared. Everything is all inclusive here, there are no extra charges for anything. The food is amazing, I would give it a 6 out of 5. I would recommend them to others looking.
It's a nice cozy facility, clean and bright; but their food budgets are in need of review as they run out of resident favorites often. The dining experience is less than perfect due to space and ordering/ serving processes. I'd still recommend at this time but my loved ones have only been there 6 months so we are hoping Vitality can/will address a permanent solution to the nutrition portion of their care.
Amber Oaks Assisted Living is a really good place. We have no issues with the staff. It's a location with not a lot of traffic. My family member really enjoys it there. They provide quality service that gives me peace of mind.

Independent Living Communities provide seniors with an equilibrium between living an independent lifestyle and not having to worry about chores. Basic chores such as meal preparation and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and leisure activities is maintained, allowing residents an opportunity to use their time as they see fit, free from daily obligations. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar age groups and interests. Within the individual units, residents have access to their own private living space and a full kitchen, and can even live with a companion if they choose. While policies differ between communities, many residences allow pets as well. If residents decide they would like to utilize the services of private health care providers, they always have the option. There are an assortment of advantages and costs to balance while choosing an independent living community. It is important to learn if these amenities are covered in your service plan: internet access, field trips, wellness program, laundry, initial assessment fee, housekeeping, private phone, and transportation. The amenities that pertain to independent living include security guards, community activities, laundry service, beauty salon & barber shop, game/TV room, restaurant-style dining hall, golf course, and fitness center & swimming pool.
