My sister took the tour, I was on facetime with them during the tour. Nice facility, very informative tour. Had a wonderful area with a fish tank and an [name removed]. Rooms are good size, and each has private bathroom.

What a blessing. When our father had a stroke years ago our family's life was changed forever. At first he was easily manageable at home, and he enjoyed being at home. He continued to have small mini strokes though, which caused a progressive dementia. About 3 years ago it became obvious that we would need to find a more safe environment for him. Luckily we found The Beehive of Smyrna, which is right down the road from where all of his children grew up and where he and our mother have lived for over 50 years. The Beehive has been such a blessing. The facility is clean, modern, welcoming and has a family atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and caring towards the residents. I think my father gained a few pounds at first because he loved the food so much. He always seemed happy, and he was always well cared for. Of course it is a secured facility, but they provided us with a unique id for entry, and we could enter at any time and find the place exactly as mentioned above. When we visit, there are nice sitting areas to sit quietly away from other residents or there are some common areas we can sit with everyone. On weekends they have activities for the residents such as entertainers and DJs, and my Dad always seemed to enjoy these as well. During holidays they would have special holiday events. Also, my father is a Korean War Veteran, and they arranged for him to have a special military certificate and afterwards the staff had all in attendance to stand up and sing the Star Spangled Banner. It was a special moment. His dementia eventually progressed to the point that it became too difficult for the staff to care for him there and we needed to find a higher level facility for his safety. When that time came, they even helped us with that transition as well. After we left the facility, I would get texts asking how our father was doing and letting us know how much they miss him.Obviously, I highly recommend the Beehive of Smyrna, it felt like a home away from home for our Dad that deserved it and needed it at that time.

Great facility if you are able to visit your loved one often to insure your wises for your loved one is being followed.... For example: you want your loved one up in time for breakfast, to be more active with walking around the facility, etc. I wish more activities we're offered on a routine and scheduled basis. Activities are sometimes planned but fail to be carried out... This is discouraging both for our loved ones and and for the family. Other than that it is very clean and the caregivers are extremely kind.

Very family friendly atmosphere. Ifyou arelooking for a very small community this may be for you. The main drawback is very small rooms and bathrooms.

This is a nice community. We like the caring staff. They are improving the meals that are served. We are happy that they. It is a nice home atmosphere. They offer alot of great activites for her to participate. We like the home feeling of the community and would recommend families for the value and the care that is given for a loved one.

My mother in law has been in Bee Hive for about 2 months now. I waited to give a rating due to my mother in law being so hard to please. She is not happy there but honestly she is not happy anywhere not even in her own home. She complains every time we see her about something. I can only give you my opinion of the facility as my husband and I see it. The ratings above were hard to decide upon since we are not the one living there and all we hear are complaints. My mother in law looks better, hygiene is better, room is always clean and she never complains about the way she is treated or spoke to. We believe it is the best place for her and it is definitely been the best place she has ever stayed. You just can't make some people happy...

Everyone has been very helpful, kind and accepting of my mother and our family. While my mother is still adjusting, I feel she is in excellent hands. Would highly recommend.

After a devastating exerience at Morning Pointe, imagine our joy at finding a caring and competent place for my mom. And that place is beehive. My mom says it best -- "They kicked me out of a hotel and I moved into a home."!
