Recent reviews of Independent Living in Dallas, GA
Sunrise of East Cobb in Marietta, GA
4.0

Transition from hospital with staff and hospice at Sunrise was not what was expected. Lack of staff for weekend and holiday. When emergency button pushed sometimes no response or over 30 minute response. Medications not administered as needed. Needs of patient could not be met in a timely manner. 24 hour care essential to make sure patient needs were attended to.

Brickmont of West Cobb in Marietta, GA
4.8

We can only speak for the memory care section. We love the 9-5 staff of Brickmont, but the staffing and care was not the same or best experience on nights and weekends. High turnover, 50% lovely caring people, just not enough of them.

Gaines Park Senior Living in Kennesaw, GA

Complete guide to independent living

Dallas, Georgia

Independent Living

For seniors who wish to live primarily without assistance but wish for the assistance of having housekeeping taken care of by professionalls, an Independent Living Community may be the perfect option. Basic tasks such as meal planning and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and social activities is maintained, allowing residents the autonomy to use their time as they wish, free from daily obligations. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to be among peers, surrounded by others of similar ages and interests. Typically comprised of a private living space and a full kitchen, these communities offer homes with many of the amenities of apartment life but with none of the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and there will be more time to spend with them with the basic maintenance of daily tasks out of the way. While policies differ between communities, many residences allow cats and dogs as well. If residents decide they would like to utilize the services of independent health care professionalls, they may always do so. There are a variety of benefits and expenditures to balance while selecting an independent living community. It is important to determine if these amenities are covered in your care plan: initial assessment fee, parking, move-in fee, housekeeping, private phone, field trips, meals, and transportation. The luxuries that pertain to independent living include beauty salon & barber shop, restaurant-style dining hall, laundry service, golf course, concierge services, game/TV room, community activities, and fitness center & swimming pool.
