Independent Living
We initially chose Legacy Reserve because of the Friendliness of the residents and high quality activities. This was from a first time, exploratory visit, but the first impression was good. Our relative still has not moved in, and we have had to ask the facility to change him from independent living to assisted living status. That is a time consuming procedure.
My Mother was at Brookside for only a brief time before she passed away on [date removed]. The staff at this facility couldn't have been any more caring or any more compassionate. I take comfort in the fact that during my Mother's last days, she was surrounded by such kindness and compassion. Of course, it was a very difficult time for her grown children and extended family as we gathered in her room during her last days and one could imagine the emotions as we watched her take her last breaths. Yet, the lovely folks at Brookside went above and beyond in their caring and kindness toward us. They intuitively knew when we needed their hugs and when we needed space to be with just each other. They were angels. I can't say enough good things. I commend the management of this facility for hiring people with great capacity for empathy. My family and I all felt the same way.
So far all is well for my loved one, and her move to this community. We do feel she is safe, and good hands. The staff have been very friendly, and polite. When we come to visit the community looks nice, and well maintained. Everything is moving in a positive direction for us at this community, and I would recommend it.
