Its a good place. They provide a good service. My mother is really thriving there. The staff is very friendly. My loved one is picky but she seems to like it and say "it's good" and she is gaining weight. This is a huge deal for us. From what I have gathered they have exercise activities, brain games and have them do interactive games that they do on a regular basis. They also have a movie night.... Read more

When it comes to the meals and dining this is an area my mother-in-law really complains about but she was getting amazing food at home. We have not heard of anything going on for activities but there is a guitar player coming. The value for cost is a flat rate so we could budget for it. The other thing that stands out to me is how happy all the residents seem. Many of them are very alert and active. This is why we actually chose it.

They've gone through five new managers since my loved one moved in. The newest one never called me back when I left a message because we were having some issues. To sum it up, they have a lot of turnover and a horrendous lack of communication.

This community is run professionally. They are kind and compassionate. My loved one liked the activities once she got used to the community. The staff were very friendly and helpful whenever speaking with them.

First of all, I chose this community because it was affordable and it met the necessary requirements. One of the main reasons was that they have friendly staff . I visited other communities and that seemed so sterile and the staff personalities were so dry, At this community, the staff are friendly and willing to interact and carry a dialogue with the residents My mother loves to be active and this community offers her that opportunity if she desires to, The admissions director has been a wealth of information and helpful to us as well.

We were not happy with Hollybrook Senior Living at all. They did not do what they said they would. My mom was in the ER 3 times in the 2.5 months she was there. I would not recommend it to anyone. They have no direction, no leadership. Not well run at all.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Update review: After nearly one year, my father has had multiple cases of 'falling down' when absolutely NOBODY was around, his clothing and personal items have ALL gone missing, they NEVER take the residents out to walk, his body is bruised for reasons nobody can explain, and most recently he had his skull cracked by his roommate (still has staples in his head). This place is a scam with completely incompetent, unqualified and absolutely untrustworthy staff. Oh my gosh, please don't go to this place. We are desperately looking elsewhere. Original review: Exterior doesn't look great, but when you walk in, surprise! It's bright and welcoming. Memory care on second floor does not allow for residents to wander freely on the grounds (or in this case, the small interior courtyard), as with other larger facilities. Would have liked that feature, but I suppose the price would have been higher. They make up for this with daily neighborhood strolls. Saw other facilities that were more expensive but the interior was gloomy. Not perfect, but a great budget-friendly option.

Mom is so happy and well cared for. It’s a great relief to know she is in good hands, is well cared for and content. The staff is very caring and the facility is clean, good food, great location. Parking can be a bit of an issue but all in all we are very happy. I highly recommend a Place for Mom and Hollybrook!

Response from Willow View Gardens Assisted Living and Memory Care
June 25, 2018Thank you for your feedback. We now offer free valet parking to all visiting Hollybrook Senior Living. We value your opinion and time taken to provide your feedback.
[Removed], our contact, was full of information and obviously LOVED what she did there. She spent considerable time explaining their program and as well as asking and answering questions. Our main concern was his isolation due to his many hours of sleep reversing to constant calling for something. He would not have used a button to call for help. He also talks to his own visionary relatives and friends and it would have been difficult with a roommate. PARKING was the other main issue. I believe they are working on resolving that; but, at the time we arrived there was no parking except in the driveway.

Overall, our experience at Hollybook has been decent, but there are some things that could use improvements. When we were looking to move in, the people there went out of their way to understand what kind of care my loved one would need when he was released from the hospital. Now that we are there, the staff is still friendly and helpful with the residents, but they are not very good at responding to the families. The rooms there are also kind of small, and the location is not very good. The facility is nice and clean though, and the residents seem fine with what they get as far as the food is concerned.

This community was very lovely however I felt maybe the lighting was a little darker than other communities we had been in. The staff was wonderful very kind and friendly the residents that we saw seemed to be happy there. If it hadn't been for another community offering a move in special I might have chosen this one primarily because it is much closer to me.

My mother was recently in this community for a short period of time and I was very pleased with how things went for her. The staff where kind and I was comfortable with the care they provided her. They always where checking in on her needs and making sure to keep in communication with me about her progress and any updates. I am thankful for the overall staff at this place and think they are doing a great job.

I liked this facility and liked the price, but being in the center of S.A., not much outdoor room for residents and parking for visitors was bad.

This is a very nice facility and we enjoyed the tour. We felt this wouldn't be a good fit for my mom because there was not a lot of socialization among the residents. I felt they were off doing their own thing and it wouldn't be easy for my mother to establish friendships.
