Willow Bend Assisted Living and Memory Care

Overall experience - The people we worked with made the transition very easy. Cleanliness - I never saw anything that seemed unclean, in the general facility or in my dad's room. Quality of care - My dad said all of the nurses that he saw were friendly and great at their jobs. Meals/Dining - I only ate two meals there with him but both were quite good. He told me frequently that he enjoyed most of the food they provided. Value for Cost - with no real context otherwise, I think it was a good value. He was comfortable, cared for, and well liked by staff.

I would let others looking know to be aware that the meals, the activities, and other amenities are not the same in memory care as in the assisted living area.

We picked this community because of timing and it was the nicest one we saw. It was great till my family member hit the girl giving her a shot then it wasn't place is great . My loved one got kicked out

She really enjoyed the meals, where she used to live she didn't participate in any activities but she did there. I would recommend to others.

We chose Willow Bend because it was not crazy expensive like some others and it had single rooms available. It is a great facility.

Mealtimes are important. When they leave you feeling, overlooked or ignored, it is stressful. Weekends are usually short staffed and very chaotic. Regular staff serving meals would be a plus, because using "resident caregivers " as servers does not work well. So ask who is serving meals and drinks. You want employees dedicated to serving meals, not dressing residents in the morning and dispensing their medication.

My dad loves the food - he has gained 20 pounds since he moved in - which he needed as he had been losing weight. I wish they had better transportation and more outings. Air conditioner on van was broken all last summer so it couldn't be used. Also, they won't let anyone take motorized scooters or wheelchairs on the van. They require that they transfer to a manual wheelchair.

The staff at Willow Bend Assisted Living and Memory Care are great. The food is good. I would recommend Willow Bend to others.

The staff at Willow Bend Assisted Living and Memory Care were very welcoming, but the move in process was very stressful as it turned out Willow Bend doesn't normally allow move ins on the weekend (they don't have the staff on hand to transfer meds, etc). I had a few meals at the facility with mom that weekend, and all were excellent. Communication from the staff has been frequent, in the form of email alerts about fire drills, alarms, and power outages. I do believe that mom will be safe and well fed there.

Very supportive. We pcked this community, because it was clean, inviting, and we liked the personalities of staff. The interaction/communication with the staff has been good.

The residents are happy. They are treated like adults and mentors, not children. They are encouraged to eat right and stay active. The care givers keep them safe and respect their dignity. Our mother chose Willow Bend because the residents and staff welcomed her into their spaces even before officially moving in. The most important thing is that it was moms choice and that she receives respect, compassion, and care.

We have been very happy with all aspects of Willow Bend. Mom likes all the staff and feels comfortable and at home.

The physical setup is wonderful, very secure and very intimate. This is truly a pet friendly establishment, and there are very few. Our only concern, really is turnover of staff. Overall, a very well run business.

No One has been unkind or rude that I can remember.

Very well maintained and lovely property. Everyone has been super helpful. The medical staff has done an excellent job of handling multiple medical issues.

I have years of experience with these type of facilities and I've never seen one better. The staff is incredible. The food is great.
