5 for all of them! I think Whitetail Springs was perfect, only if my Aunt was a bit more healthy to have enjoyed it. The staff was caring to your needs of the family member, kept you up to date with calls if needed. The facility was well taken care of inside & on the grounds, plenty of activities to keep you busy or left you alone if you didn't want to partake in them but wanted to watch... Read more

I researched multiple facilities with the help of A Place for Mom. We found Whitetail Springs in Whitehall. It has been amazing for my mom. She suffers from Lewy Body. They are extremely knowledgeable in all forms of dementia. You should make sure you check them out if you are in a similar situation.

As you can see I found the facility to be excellent. I transferred my husband from [community name removed] to Whitetail. Whitetail far exceeds [community name removed].The whole package is superb. We would most definitely recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

Truly this place is one of the best! The quality of care and cleanliness are amazing. The activities and food are also top notch. They really do care for their residents. They communicate regularly and my loved one is always clean/changed. Rooms are well kept and laundry completed weekly and put back neatly. Clinical staff report changes they are noticing. I never had to worry.

My dad was a resident at Whitetail Springs for 2 months. When he first arrived he needed PT for walking, and everyone was very nice. I would visit him every day from 3-8. He liked it there. One day I went up and he could no longer move his legs to walk while sitting in his wheelchair, he could not raise his right arm. I mentioned it to the aides and no one got back to me. One day a got a call that my Dad had fallen out of his wheelchair while watching TV with the others in the TV room, they sent Daddy to the Emergency Room to be checked out. While at the Emergency Room the doctor ran different tests and told me he did not suffer any injuries from the fall, BUT the test showed he had had a stroke a few weeks earlier, that is why he had trouble moving his right arm and legs. Since my Dad could not feed himself after the stroke, even though he tried, sometimes they would let me feed him, but there was one particular nurse/aide that would not, she said because of COVID, she had me escorted out of the dining area crying, I was so humiliated, after that I brought food from home and fed him in his room. A few weeks later his roommate was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with COVID. When his roommate returned, I asked for Daddy to be moved to another room, they would not move him, Daddy had to stay in the same room as his roommate that had COVID. The cleaning lady Doreen keeps the facility VERY clean, it never smelled. There were a lot of nice good workers, Darlena, Kelly and Valarie to name a few, but the facility had bad management communication. One day the workers would let me feed my dad and the next day different workers would not. Same thing with his teeth and hearing aids somedays he had them in and others days he did not. The day he died they actually lost my dad’s dentures, even though I removed them the night before and put them on the top shelf of his cabinet. I wrote to the main office in Bend, Oregon about my treatment and concerns. Mr. Nassar told me that he made a trip to Pennsylvania, he met with Tara the Executive Director and Jennifer the Regional Director of Operations and personally addressed my issues. Which was VERY nice of him. I hope things are going better now. I want the facility to do good, my advice is to speak up, make a list of what your loved ones daily needs are and tape it up in their room so the aids know, don’t just assume. A lot of the residents did not get visitors, I went every day, some thought I came to visit them, they would join in with Daddy and me on walks and working puzzles. My rating is a 3, but if changes were made I would rate it higher.

My mother is a current resident at Whitetail Springs Transitional Assisted Living and Memory Care. I'm very happy with this facility, so far. They pay attention to the residents and their staff seems happy and well supported internally. There's good leadership at the top. The staff is all friendly, helpful, and great. The food is awesome. The workers take pride in what they do. The housekeepers are dolls. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

My experience with Whitetail Springs has been positive. They keep the place clean, and nasty smells aren't an issue. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. They have daily activities. My one and only wish is that visiting hours were later in the evening.

I think memory care in general can only get so good. I think the facility is nice. The majority of the people are nice. The food is okay for what they can eat. It is what it is, a memory care unit. But it is nicer than the majority of them.

The thing that first impressed me about Whitetail Springs was when [name removed] was taking me around for the tour she called all of the residents by name and she said they know all of them like they are family and know their families as well. I have found that to be true I have been very well pleased with the way that they treat me. It is also very easy to find and get to as well if you are in the Pittsburgh area. I am amazed by how well everything worked out. I would absolutely recommend the facility to anyone looking for memory care for their loved ones.

My loved one has been pleased with the care they are receiving here. The staff always have my loved one clean, dressed, and involved in the activities when I visit. I feel the staff really look at for the resident's care and care for them well. The resident to staff ratio is low and this is wonderful. The staff have all been great to work with and friendly. There are three meals a day and snacks served to the residents. There is a variety of options for the residents to choose from. The community is very thoughtful about nutrition for the residents. The safety and security measures the community has if top notch!

I had the pleasure of visiting Whitetail Springs and having a chef prepared meal for lunch. He made turkey meatball subs and it was delectable! He did a great job of elevating a sub sandwich and incorporating healthier choices like ground turkey. The community was clean and the residents seemed engaged. I look forward to future visits.

Whitetail Springs is just about ideal for this particular affliction. For memory care, I couldn't think of anything better. You could visit at any time. My loved one was given very good care. And the facility was very clean, with no urine odors.

This is a very clean community. The staff are great to communicate with the family about our loved one. The community is expensive; however, that is due to the care needed by my loved one. I would recommend the community to others.

My wife was only at Whitetail Springs for 6 weeks. Due to COVID19 I never was farther than the front office. From what I could tell from photos, it seemed very nice. All the staff was very friendly and she was very well cared for. The Smile app was very useful for communicating, seeing what activities she was doing and viewing photos. I would highly recommend Whitetail Springs.
