Facility location is beautiful. Most everyone is friendly and helpful. Had some trouble with getting meds correct and on time. There was a period of time when admin/nursing was in total disarray. They have hired new admin and I believe things are much better now.

This is a quality place to live. I'm at a different facility now, closer to family, but not as nice as Victoria Landing. The waterfront view was what sold me at the time but I grew to love the activities and the food. The care my husband received was above and beyond during his final days.

What we really like about Victoria Landing ALF are the apartment, the apartment are really nice. They have a nice riverfront, the people that are there are really good and the meals are really good.

Overall Victoria Landing is a good place to live. It's very easy to make friends. Right now they are short staffed in the dining room, so service is slow.

Upon admission, the services were great. However, in 3 months they have changed/loss a lot of staff and had a lot of agency nurses which had greatly affected quality of care. We are hoping they can return the staffing numbers to previous ratio of staff to resident and improve that quality of care.

Where to start, from the directors bad mouthing the owners, to lack of leadership i would just stay away if i was you. A marketing person who doesn't know her job, a memory care director that truly is clueless, and a administrator who is friends apparently with them so good luck getting anywhere. I decided not to bring my parents here after hearing things from the employees, and overheard terrible things from the directors towards the owners of the building ( might want to make sure your door is shut when badmouthing people) just no, all i can say is no god no

My mom has been living in Victoria Landing going on 3 years. She has a beautiful apartment. and view of the River. Every staff person is friendly, kind and very sweet to my mom. I can't thank the front desk staff/nursing staff enough during Covid. The diligence/safety protocols were well done. The menu has been improved with more selections. The Chef is very creative and the food is good. I like the outings to Publix, different restaurants for my mom. A lot of good entertainment comes to perform at VL too.

Of course the facility location and views are unbeatable, but the staff is also top notch. They truly care for their residents and always work to make sure every need is tended to in a timely fashion. The restaurant makes great food and there are more than enough activities to keep the residents happy and engaged day-to-day. Pet friendly is certainly a nice perk for many of the residents as well.

My father has been at Victoria Landing for almost 7 years, first in the assisted living building, and since [date removed] in the memory care unit. I live about 4 miles from the facility so it is easy for me to visit. The staff have always been friendly and caring, keeping me informed of my dads status either when I visit or they give me a call, if it is more urgent. I am very fortunate that my dad is very active and does not require a cane or a wheel chair. I take him to all his doctor appointments with the exception of the PCP, who comes to the facility. I would recommend Victoria Landing, especially the assisted living building where the apartments are very nice and there are lots of activities going on, plus the view of the river is beautiful.

My dad has been here for a year now and he has made a new life for himself there, with so many wonderful people that work and live there he has been very happy and well cared for. Can't say enough about how wonderful it is to know that your loved one is happy and no need to worry about them. We couldn't be happier with Victoria Landing. Great choice.

The place is very clean and looks appealing from the outside. Kitchen staff is nice as well and a lot of activities. That’s the good. Unfortunately, the bad is a horrendous nursing staff that is completely disorganized, cannot maintain records or medications, and blatantly doesn’t seem to care. Obviously this is not all staff nurses but a good number due to poor management and no checks and balances. Response times they will tell you are under 15 minutes when a patient hits the call button. This is false on most occasions, response times over an hour or a complete no show is common. How is an elderly person suppose to hold it for an hour after hitting the call button. The nursing management is completely lost and truly doesn’t care for the patient, it’s obviously just a paycheck to them. Had my mom there a short period of time and thank God a spot came open at Zon Beachside. A number of people I used to see at Victoria Landings are now at Zon and I completely understand why. Unfortunate because it could be a good place of the nursing was staffed correctly and managed correctly. Stay clear.

I could tell that this community just had lots of renovations and updated throughout the entire building. Everything looked clean, new, and very updated. However my main concern I had during my visit was the lack of a security system they had in place. It was not very secure for a memory care unit and they are surrounded by large bodies of water.

Response from Victoria Landing ALF
February 15, 2017Thank you for your review. We always appreciate honest feedback. Our existing residence is assisted living which offers our residents lots of independence. It does not however include a secure memory care wing. We are in the construction phase of a secured memory care community that is coming soon. If a secured memory care community is what you are seeking, please reach back out midsummer as we will be taking reservations for this brand new addition.
[Removed] called and thought that Victoria Landing would be too expensive for my Mother in Law to afford and offered a couple of other places to check out.

The facility is always sparkling clean and bright. The staff are always willing to discuss ways to improve their residents' experience. I particularly like the bright dining room and the "pub" next to it. The only negative so far is a lack of timely followup on issues-like not ordering medication as soon as it ran out. We feel our parents have everything they need and we really like Victoria Landing.

February 15, 2017Thank you for your honest feedback, and for sharing an area where we can better improve your parents' experience.
Even before we selected Victoria Landing for my In-Laws, the staff was very flexible. My first conversation there was with a resident who has lived there since they opened, and she loves it! It was the best place for my in-laws because of the beautiful location and the caring staff. My in-laws have only been there a couple weeks but they love it there, the residents and staff are friendly. We love it because the staff keeps their eyes open and gets them the help they need whether it is OT or a visit from the doctor. We think this will keep my in-laws young.

A Place for Mom has scored Victoria Landing ALF 8.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
