My 99 year old Mom was EVICTED after living there for 6 weeks. We filed a complaint against the facility when we discovered my Mom’s unit had NO HOT WATER in the shower for a month. In retribution, they evicted her and kept the $[removed]+ move-in fee. The manager of the facility is absolutely nasty and the owners (they own a few of these facilities) are very difficult to track down, and when we finally found a name/number for them, they wouldn’t return our calls. Besides the horrible management, the facility is dated and shabby and the food is disgusting. Please do your research (and try a meal) before you consider moving a loved one here.

This is what I wrote to [name removed] that runs Century Oaks because they are mistreating my parents. She has been trying to my parents moved several times and all failed so she issued 45 day notice. Do not place your loved ones in this community! Please scroll down to read her response... I don't know what is going on at your facility but it is clear that no one has experience or training with dementia or Alzheimer's despite what your website says. A place that treats residents as if they were their own family, really??? And Bayberry House, described as dementia/Alzheimer's care at Century Oaks. Never heard of it or was ever mentioned or suggested. I read about. There is no training or experience with diffusing situations with these types of patients. I am moving them to a community that is trained and can take proper care of them which will not happen until the end of the month. Until then I would appreciate backing off of my father. The way he is being handled is only agitating him more making it more difficult. This is a disease and as much as he is not himself I do believe there is a piece of truth in everything he tells is going on there. "Thank you for the notice. [name removed]"

My husbands aunt have been here since 2007. She started in the independent floor and sadly is now in the memory floor. The place have been through a lot of changes with management and nurses and occupational therapist, and aides , housekeeper , clerks/ secretaries all those years and our aunt have gone through all those and we must say that there are good and bad in those changes but we are still glad that she picked century oaks . Through all the change of hands we are thankful to have met people that have taken care of her and some who still are. We are happy right now for Clifford who have treat her like his own family his selfless act of kindness towards her is exemplary! We wish there are more Cliffords in this place to take care of the elderly! We are far from our Aunt because this is how she wanted it to be , but we are at ease that Century Oak is taking care of her

I have no complaints about my tour of this community, This was the first place my mother and I had visited and she just could not see her self living here. It was also too far of a drive for me to get to her everyday. The staff where friendly though and gave lots of great information to us.

They were nice and they gave a nice tour. The staff was helpful and very knowledgeable with the information about the community. We just did not choose here because it was way to far from us. We wanted mom closer.

My parents are safe in the community and cared for by the staff. I have not got a call about dad falling yet however, my parents are taking their time to get use to the community. The staff have been friendly and welcoming. With their help they are doing alright and I have not heard a complaint about the meals they eat. It is a clean community with good housekeeping for my parent's room. My parents are much of joiners but activities are offered. I choose this community because of the location and price.

Thank you Amy for all your help!! It was a lot of new learning curves for me to move my parents to FL from NM, where they lived independantly to assisted living. Amy helped me with so many items, monies, gap loans, VA and of course all the places to visit and people to connect with to do so, NEVER could have done it all without A Place For Mom.

Nancy was informative. I toured the rooms too. The general feeling was more of an assisted living and therefore I dont feel would be a good fit for my mom.

The staff and residents are all very friendly. It has been a good fit for my mother. Holly was the person who contacted me. She was very helpful and very friendly. They bent over backwards to make accommodations for my parents. They were able to shuffle other people around so that my dad could have a more convenient location when walking to the dining room. They really listened to our concerns and did the best to react. I feel very comfortable that my parents are there and I know that they're taken care of. It has been a very good experience. Nancy is the BEST!

My mother lives at Century Oaks. She really likes it there. It's clean, comfortable and safe. She has her independence but doesn't have to deal with grocery shopping, cooking or cleaning. She says the staff are very professional and compassionate. Even though she's only been there are few months, she's made friends. I am very pleased that my Mother is happy and safe.

Dad and step-mom are so thrilled with their beautiful new apartment in Century Oaks. The staff could not be more attentive to their wants and needs! The dining room is very cozy and the food is superb!! Great Ice Cream socials every Wednesday and lots of friendly neighbors to chat with. The folks can even keep their little dog Foxy with them. Nancy, Gloria, Sherri and Elaine along with the rest of the staff have been so welcoming and supportive through this adjustment period for all of us. Thanks so much for all of you help!!!

Lovely community. Very safe facility, caring staff, and friendly residents. Nancy was extremely helpful. The apartments are quite spacious and bright, and the screened porch is a great bonus. The bathrooms are particularly nice, very modern. I personally love the pool area, which is in a courtyard area in the center of the building, and adjacent covered lanai. I might plan to spend some time there relaxing, myself :)

They've done a great job so far at Century Oaks! The staff are very attentive, and great about staying in touch with families. They keep right on top of things, and always give me a call if anything goes wrong. The facility itself is well kept and clean, the staff are friendly, and the residents seem well cared for!

Had two tours. Too costly and while the rooms were nice there's something I just didn't like about it. Tara was helpful.

A Place for Mom has scored Century Oaks 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
