2. The cleanliness is close to excellent, not much more I can say about that. 3. The majority of the staff is very friendly and consistent in their worth ethic. Most of them are very helpful, but I find very few that offer any assistance. 4. I do not require a lot of personal care as I can do most things by myself. My family is a great assistance to me, which leaves their time free for other people. When I have needed some care, the Attention to detail could improve somewhat. 5. I Find that it's easier for me to have a family member call in for me. When I try to do it, I feel like I have to be put on the waiting list. 6. The food is close to excellent, with a wide variety on the menu and other options available. 7. The activities that I am interested in are usually pretty crowded and seating available. 8. The think it is over priced but then again, all of them are. The value for my money, considering I received mostly everything I would have to get on my own it is it is a little more expensive, but I don't have to worry about Providing much of anything on my own.

The Business Office is a joke. Even after 6 months I have yet to see a correct invoice. Losing patience. Feel sorry for residents who don't have someone looking out for them...likely being ripped off!

While our loved one was there we really liked the friendliness of the staff members and how caring they were as well as the expertise they had handling residents with dementia. Based on our experience we would recommend this community to other families.

This is one of the best places I have ever visited. My loved one has improved in their attitude. The best thing is they have continuation of care here and my loved one won't have to move. This is exactly what I wanted for my loved one. There are three meals a day provided by the community and the residents have choices to choose from. There are a lot of activities for the residents to choose from.

We toured Discovery Village - the community was very lovely, we liked the people and it seemed very nice. At Discovery when you move from independent to assisted living, you are basically living out of one room. I felt as though I would've been moving into a hospital. Our top two community choices allowed residents to stay in a normal independent apartment, but assistance comes in and helps with whatever you need throughout the day. We preferred that, rather than being in a single room. I didn't like that idea at all.
Discovery Village at Melbourne was probably my favorite facility out of all of the ones that we were looking into. I really liked the facility and the staff, but they only had studio apartments available and my loved one was looking for something bigger with multiple rooms. They did great with following up with us after the tour to check in.
The food needs improvement. The food seems to be boring, and not a lot of healthy options for the residents. The activities are good, but there could be more and a better selection. There is a good walking path available on the grounds. The community has games and almost everything they have is sitting down. It would be better if they had more active activities. The staff has had a high turnover in the administration level. I would not recommend the community to others.

I thought Discovery Village at Melbourne was too polished and too formal. It was just not a fit for my loved one at all. But the people there were nice.
They just made it easy. It was easy to get enrolled, and I felt like they took us under their wing. They gave us all the information we needed to make things happen. It was a very stressful time, but I appreciated their open communication and quick answers to my questions. People always called back when I left a message. They just tried to assist in any way they could. And my loved ones said the food was excellent. They didn't miss a meal while they were there, which is saying something!

We chose Discovery Village because I thought it would fit her needs the best. The rooms here are nice and large and very clean. The whole facility is beautiful and lively, they do have a lot going on. They are fully staffed which is awesome.

This community was a fine place. The tour was great but did not allow my loved one to smoke without a long distance walk to get to the smoking area. It was more expensive than what we were looking for.
We toured Discovery Village and it was a very nice, beautiful, good quality facility. It was just not a great fit for my mom, the facility is by a busy road and railroad tracks which was not conducive for her memory care and wandering problems.
We had a truncated tour at the height of Covid. It was during the times of stay away, can’t go in, peek in at the window. I got to see the main area inside, but I didn’t get to see the memory care area or any of the other areas. It was more of a photo tour. When you’re trying to judge something like that, it’s hard to get a good feel remotely. They went over what a typical day would be like for the residents. I liked Discovery Village better than another place I toured - the program sounded a little more engaging for people in memory care. I found the people here to be very helpful. My loved one was still in rehab at the time, and her doctor was a lot more pessimistic about her health than how things actually turned out. We ended up not needing a facility, but they stayed in touch periodically, and were very friendly.
I think the initial information and assessment should have been more and we should have had more info and the options available explained. Overall the community was good and the staff was wonderful. I would recommend this community if it meets the needs of your loved ones.

[Name removed] was great. The facility was very clean and everyone was enjoying themselves. Memory care was very impressive. The food was excellent and the staff was amazing. The residents that we spoke with had nothing but good things to say.

was a little disappointed. Felt rushed, the "business manager" brought us for the tour. Receptionist didn't even acknowledge we had an appt. The business manager really didn't ask much about our loved one and proceeded to ask us what we wanted to see. Not very impressed with that. Facility was nice but smelt like urine. Didn't care for the memory care "dining room" as they were very stark, not comfortable feeling.

It's a shame that things have gotten so bad after Discovery Village took over. The majority of the established Management Team left and those that remain appear to not care about what is going on with their residents. The housekeeping is terrible, we constantly have to ask for my family members bathroom to be cleaned. I have photo's of mildew growing in the commode, that's how [Removed]the housekeeping staff is. The food has gone down hill and the portion sizes are not enough to keep a toddler happy. They advertise that they offer snacks in the café but you are lucky to find a broken cookie at any given time. Their water station in assisted living is covered with plastic wrap. This is what residents who pay good money get from this organization?. It's so sad that things changed so drastically for these poor residents.
