My loved one was previously a resident at Bethesda on Turkey Creek and the experience was horrible. This facility is not a good place, we ended up having to move my loved one to a different facility. I would not recommend Bethesda on Turkey Creek to others.

The outstanding Executive Director[ name removed]. The excellent activities director. The excellent Nursing director. We got a very fair price offered by [name removed]. The staff are meticulous about dispensing medications. They regularly check on all residents. They provide any assistance needed by the residents. [name removed] the lady at the front desk is involved in many aspects of the residents unexpected needs and resolves things. My sister [name removed} health has not only stabilized but has also improved sime under the care of the entire staff.[name removed] has advancing Parkinson and her life expectancy has significantly increased in my view.

My loved one was a resident at Bethesda on Turkey Creek. I would never recommend this facility to anyone. Their communication was terrible. They never communicated until there was a problem. The staff are not responsive. I'm afraid the level of care was not there. Every time that I visited my loved one, she was sitting at a table doing nothing. The value for cost was terrible, I would not waste my money.

We toured Bethesda on Turkey Creek during our search for an Assisted Living facility for our loved one. We did not like this facility at all. They were not prepared for a tour, too far off of the main area of town and the facility was very run down looking.
Was a pleasant tour seemed like a very nice and clean place from the areas we saw.
My loved one wasn't very happy here. The place wasn't clean, the people there didn't dedicate themselves too much. There were a lot of inattentive young people on staff at night, and he didn't feel well cared for. The food was awful. He was miserable there. The price per month was so high for one room for two people, with no privacy, (not even an apartment, just a room). They provided three meals a day, but if you were late you didn't get to eat. They didn't provide snacks like they promised. There was nothing to to do but sit in your room. Bethesda wouldn't let the residents outside, not even on the grounds. We're looking at an assisted living with a 1 bedroom 1 1/2 bath apartment where they are so friendly, there's so much to do, there's a swimming pool, and it's the same price. So we're seriously thinking about moving there.
Love this place. Would love to put dad here.

Perhaps the worst run facility in Brevard . Anyone at any time can enter the facility - No security! from 11pm till 7am they have one non medical person taking care of 86 patents. The food is processed (canned) certainly not home cooked. If Your loved one is on hospice no one on site to give morphine after 11pm. They do not have adequate RN staffing to detect issues with patients. Staff turnover is very high! The underpaid, overworked staff do their best - upper management could careless! Laundry is outsourced- don’t bother! Get your family out!

The Staff is careful and helpful of all the needs of their wards. The food is nutritional and mom likes it. Shes very particular. She seems to enjoy the facility. Dementia is hard on everyone. I appreciate the love, time, and patience of all the staff.

To those whom it may concern; I want to share an experience that I had when my aunt was in assisted living in Bethesda on Turkey Creek Assisted Living & Memory Care (Palm Bay, FL). It’s unfortunate that my aunt was in the facility for three years. She had many things stolen from her; jewelry and money. When I brought this to the directors attention [name removed] (director at the time), she made it seem like it wasn’t a big deal. There was no empathy, not even an apology or a suggestion that she would bring it up to the staff. Every time I gave my aunt some spending money, the next day it was gone and sadly, my aunt was being taken advantage of. I live out of state, so whenever I was in town and I left her anything, she’d cry that the workers stole it, and when brought up the director didn’t think it was her problem. I don’t want to mention names, but I received a notice that my aunts rent was short on money less than $1,000. She was struggling because she used up all of that money for medication. I paid out of pocket to cover the rent, but she was falling behind because of the meds and rent. Bethesda responded by sending a notice that warned me, “We must initiate a 45 day notice for you to find other accommodations.” After speaking with the director, she told me bluntly, “we are running a business here.” Me living thousand of miles away and trying to figure out this situation, struggling to get help from management, I found this to be very heartless.

Response from Bethesda on Turkey Creek
May 8, 2019Thank you for your review. We take theft very seriously and report theft to the police immediately. This is company policy. As you must understand, residents must make their rent payments to the facility so the facility can operate for the benefit of all our residents.
My mom has lived at Bethesda on Turkey Creek since May [date removed]. Staff Is very friendly and go out of their way to help you. My mom loves activities and there are many different things to choose from. They offer activities out of the facility and provide transportation. Mom enjoys the food and the kitchen help Is very nice. What we really wanted in an assisted living facility is for her to have her own room. We would recommend Bethesda to friends and family

The most notable improvement is the new front entrance. I will call it a “welcoming center”. [Removed] are always smiling and cheerful when I walk in the door. There is a much more professional and “neat and tidy” atmosphere to the entrance. First impression! The staff has been friendly and professional and accommodating.

I cam to Bethesda in Jan 2017 to take a tour and know this was to be my "home" (forever). Staff has been so helpful in the adjustment I had to make after my husband passed in December. My family and I are so grateful for the staff and others who make this "home".

My Mom moved into Bethesda May 2016. We chose this assisted living because she needed more care. The nursing staff is wonderful! They are always attentive and friendly. They have a variety of social activities and have new ideas that my Mom really enjoys. The dining staff is always helpful and Mom is very satisfied with the food. Business staff is helpful and always ready to answer questions. I would highly recommend Bethesda.

This is a beautiful facility. It really feels like home. Everyone was very friendly. My mother felt very comfortable. They showed us several room options including a one bedroom apartment on Turkey Creek.

I felt so welcomed by the staff and resident's. Every single resident I talked to said they loved it here and highly recommended Bethesda. They said that they are well taken care of and that they feel very loved. I had a hard decision to make. We toured many places and all were very beautiful but not 1 building had this feeling of home. Thank you staff and residents at Bethesda for helping me make up my mind. I am happy that I my mom is going to be part of your family.
