They have a lot of turnover with their CNA staff but I think that happens everywhere. Their physical therapy, nursing and hospitality/activities staff members are fantastic! Ways they need to improve: More staff, listen and include family in care, and keep family informed. I do not recommend Alura Senior Living.

Alura Senior Living beautiful facility that had the misfortune to hire a staff that was under trained for the medical needs that THEY assured me they could handle which they could not. Based on the lack of medical care, I give them a 2d.

The only issue is staff turnover and that is economic. It's everywhere but we would recommend Alura Senior Living to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

Alura Senior Living is a little pricey, but they try to do well. There is too much turnover and staff shortages.

I only gave a 4 on the care because they talked like they would try to get mom more engaged than they actually did. They have activities throughout the week which is great but if people don't actually knock and the door and engage you, it's very hard to come out of your shell and feel comfortable. Food is okay, not a lot of variety though. I don't know if other places switch it around much or not but she gets very tired of it and taste is good, not great. Activities seem to be appropriate for the age group but it's been so hard to get her to cooperate. I like the grounds and the place is honestly the brightest and the cleanest we have seen overall. And they have an ice cream truck that stops by... gotta love them! It's a safe, clean, friendly place that allows pets. It would be worth it even more to me of mom made some friends and got out more... she has become a homebody unfortunately and made not friends on her first 4 months.... she does not complain but she's either an introvert or just isn't interested. Still trying to figure that one out! But after 60 years of marriage that kinda change is tough. They did give us the deposit back after 3 months of staying there... but only if you ask!

Overall I am very pleased with Alura Senior Living and am glad that I made the decision to come here. Also note that the building is built to withstand cat 4/5 Hurricanes, and residents will not have to evacuate. I not only will recommend this community to others but I already have.

Great place for my parents. Admin is available and responsive. My parents like the staff there and have no complaints. only negative is that they do not use landlines since AT&T has yet to provide service to the building. This makes the residents use a cell phone. Overall, Alura is worth the money to have my parents live in a nice, caring environment and be responsive to my family's needs

My Mom has been a resident of Alura Senior Living since it's inception. We are in our third year of residency. It has been challenging at times. Moving our Mom from her home environment to a Care Facility is difficult. The current Memory Care Team has allowed my family comfort and reassurance, that proper care is providing safety and supportive activities for the residents to maneuver through daily living experiences. Our family appreciates expert services of: Facility Director Director of Nurses and Nursing Staff Memory Care Coordinator and Caregivers The residents enjoy a wonderful dining experience provided by Director of Dining Services and his staff.

My 98 year old father is in the memory unit. The care he gets from the PCA’s and nurses is wonderful. I have especially gotten to know some of the amazing nurses at Alura, who bring their phone to him so we can talk. I am so grateful for these kind and attentive (and busy) nurses, including but not limited to [names removed]! Thanks to all of you!

Our experience with [name removed] and her wonderful team was just what my Mother needed to decide that this should be her new home. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. And it is a beautiful community. I know she will be very happy living here.

The staff at Alura is friendly, competent, and professional. They communicated clearly with us while we were in the process of selecting an assisted living arrangement for my mom. There is a lot of paperwork to do and they guided us through that with ease. The staff and residents of Alura are very warm and welcoming. The facility is beautiful inside and out, and the safety features are excellent as well. We have peace of mind knowing that my mom is safe and happy in her new home.

The person who gave us the tour is [name removed]. I brought a friend and [name removed] was very accommodating and gave a very thorough tour. We were interested in the memory care living area. I saw that wether residents live in assisted living or memory care there seems to be lots to do. There were many events on a table in the main area for residents. The rooms and dinning areas were bright and clean. There were many comfortable cozy spots with comfortable chairs in the main area to get together to chat and enjoy your family or the friends that you’ve made. We received a folder with all information, calendar of schedules for events and a breakdown of the monthly care package. It’s easy to find and very convenient to the area of Rockledge Fl. Yet again it’s convenient to anywhere and close to. I- 95

I toured this facility and loved it. Cleanliness and friendliness were good. This facility would have been our first choice if it was affordable for us, but it was just over budget.
Our family had an in person tour and we arrived at 10am for our tour and the residents were still in their rooms and there was not a lot of activity going on at all and we wanted a community that had a lot of activity. It is a newer place so they are still building on everything they will be doing. However the tour guide has continued to check back with us so they were very interested in our family/
I really liked the community! The rooms and closest were not as large as another community we saw. [Name removed] at Alura was super awesome!
Our family had an in person tour and it wasn't perfect but we did have a meal there and the food was very good and all the people we met with there were nice and all the residents seemed to be very happy and active. We never really got to see the assisted living side but from what we did see the setup was just not really what we were looking for.
My loved ones love the food. They are great. We picked this community because, it was the closet location,we needed a two bedroom and it was available. The people made them very comfortable. The staff was great and was very nice. They met all the criterias that we were looking fo. They have good amenities. It's a clean community.

The med techs, maintenance & housekeeping staff, front desk & dining room staff -- are nice people doing their best, but there are too few of them. Alura accepts new residents, but does not have enough staff to provide high quality & expeditious basic service, assistance, and care, or to even keep the place very clean. The food is downright terrible: poor quality ingredients that for the most part are poorly prepared, suggesting insufficient investment in the central activity of many residents' days: meals. Disturbing, given the comparatively high rent. The kitchen provides no accommodation for people with diabetes or other conditions that require a special diet. Finally, the few upper management people on-site often respond defensively, dismissively, or just heartlessly, to residents' or families' questions, requests, and needs. They seldom pick up their phones, and *never* answer emails. Overall, this facility looks nice, but seems focused on profit, not quality of life.

A Place for Mom has scored Alura Senior Living 9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
