Van Dyk Park Place

I will give a 5 for all but for the meals I hear from my mom the vegetables are too hard and the meats are tough, sometimes the meals are not that great, for the cost I feel the meals should be better. Maybe ask the residents that live there if improvements can be made in the dinners, Other than that it is a great place we are extremely happy with everything.

5 for everything! They treated my dad like family. The care he received was outstanding. He was welcomed from the first day and made to feel at home...Yes, we would 1000% recommend this community to other families based on the experience we had with Van Dyk Park Place. My dad passed on [date removed] and Van Dyke provided hospice for him. Even the hospice care was outstanding..

A great cheerful atmosphere and the staff is excellent.

We are paying for level 4 care, which means 2 caregivers are available for your needs. However, my Dad is too often left urine soaked. We have invested a lot of money to get my Dad into Van Dyk's Park Place and now feel stuck. Staff is wonderful, but there are not enough.

We recently moved Dad into Memory care. The staff worked well with our family and Dad in making this transition as smooth as possible. We are highly impressed with the dedication and professionalism of the staff as they welcomed Dad into the VanDyk family and memory program.

My mom had spent 4 months in respite care in another facility and was not walking, had become anxious, angry and depressed. My mom had been living independently until she was 94. After a serious fall and hospitalization she needed to change her lifestyle and move to an assisted living facility. Within two weeks of moving into VanDyk, she immediately adjusted to being cared for by people who chose to be caregivers! The staff has made a life changing difference in her life! At 95, she's thriving in her new home! God Bless the entire family of caregivers!

Our mom went through many changes in the last year including two moves the most recent to Van Dyk Park Place. With all the changes in her life and her overall mental condition we were nervous this move would be challenging. I’m happy to say we are thrilled so far with how things have been going. The staff is excellent, the facility is beautiful and the open communication is exactly the type of situation that works best for me and my family. We are happy we chose Van Dyk Park Place and looking forward to what the future brings for my mom and our family.

My sister has been at Van Dyk's for a little over a year. She has been receiving exemplary care. The staff has been very attentive, patient and caring when my sister has needed assistance. The Wellness center of nurses, medical technicians, and therapists are on top of everything. They have also been very receptive to my requests as I am a nurse and have worked with the elderly. The daily and monthly activities at Van Dyk's are fun, diverse, plentiful and provide excellent diversion for the residents. The decor is lovely and provides a homey experience. I highly recommend Van Dyk's Park Place!

VanDyk has far exceeded my expectations of an assisted living facility. All the staff is attentive and friendly and all work together to provide a wonderful and fulfilling life for my dad. Every time we speak he tells me how happy he is there and how much he loves it…. I am so relieved and grateful for all they do for him…..

Dad & Mom have had the privilege to transition into assisted living, and more recently to memory care at Van Dyk Park Place. The staff are compassionate, attentive and well-equipped for the highest standards of care. Our family is so grateful for the beautiful, safe, clean setting that gives us complete confidence that our parents are receiving everything that they need in this time of their lives.

We moved my mother to Van Dyk’s after she fell and suffered a broken leg and hip. We knew she could no longer live alone. After just 3 weeks the PT department had her walking and out of her wheelchair. She’s made lots of friends and is now an ambassador. She loves all the activities provided and the staff goes above and beyond to make everyone feel special and at home.

My mother has been at Van Dyks for 9 years She is always treated with the respect and kindness she deserves. The staff is attentive and knows what she does and doesn’t like . They are very good at keeping me informed of everything as I am her POA and live in Florida and have to make decisions with them We sleep better knowing she is taken care of so well.

My mom moved into Van Dyk Park Place a few months ago and we could not be any happier. The staff is very professional and caring, the activities and programming are engaging, her apartment is spacious, and the meals are healthy and tasty. We also feel it is a very good value for the price. I am most impressed that when we pop by unannounced, we see our mom actively involved in the day-to-day life of her floor. She is in the memory care area, has made several friends on her floor, and the staff is very attentive to her needs. The atmosphere is caring and family-like. I would strongly recommend Van Dyks!

Dad has been at Van Dyk Park Place since February 2020. COVID shutdown occurred one month later. Staff went above and beyond so that residents and families could adjust to all the new procedures and restrictions. Communications to families is excellent. The facility is always filled with lovely seasonal decorations and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Activities abound. Most importantly is the care by nursing staff and aides. Dad has had zero complaints and any questions I have asked are answered quickly. I am extremely content with the VDPP as is Dad

Sadly my husband, the love of my life over a 55 year marriage, has had memory issues for over twelve years. It started at age 65 with mild cognitive impairment crossing over to Alzheimer's three years ago. Behavioral issues made it necessary to move him to a memory facility. Nobody wants to leave their home & I certainly never felt it would be necessary in our case. Our daughters and I checked out several places and he has been at Van Dyk Park Place for just over a year. We clearly feel we made the right decision as sad as we are that he is no longer at home. He is safe and well cared for, the environment is very pleasant and the employees are extremely caring...that is all we can ask. Our hearts are broken, yet we are also at peace knowing we chose the BEST facility!

Nothing but kudos for the Van Dyk staff and facility. My dad has been through a lot this year. From multiple health issues to losing his wife/our mom. After moving to the Van Dyk my dad's spirits and more importantly his health have greatly improved. He loves the staff who treat him with dignity and warming care. We now have peace mind knowing that dad is in a facility that truly cares about him. If you are looking for an assisted living facility for your loved ones, please consider Van Dyk. You will not be disappointed...

The facility very well maintained .Staff is always ready to help .Never an issue speaking to a care Giver or medical professional. Very nice size private room in memory care. Amenities offered to residents are great!

They are terrific.It's great!!!! We picked this community because of the location location location :-). Plus it was the most appealing place we saw. Also they have Medicaid memory care beds for longer term.

Van Dyk Park Place did a great job of caring for my mom for 3 years. The team is extremely caring and timely when providing relevant updates. They go above and beyond to ensure residents are being cared for. Very satisfied with the level of care provided.

If your loved one is in any way non-complacent this is NOT a good place for memory care. They are only capable of handling docile patients. They have only four aides for an entire floor of more than thirty people. They gather them into a central area and then do some activities. The activities director they HAD was great but he left. There is a huge turn around here if care givers and other staff. If your LO needs any additional care they expect you to hire an aide, on your dime. They will call you consistently for help (almost daily), or send the patient to a hospital. My loved one had dementia related behaviors and the couldn’t handle it at all. In the six months my LO was there she was sent out more than TEN times. It was awful. Please beware, they are very nice to speak to but they don’t know what they are doing in regards to memory care.
