It's been a very good experience so far. It's very bright and it's very clean. They are very attentive to my mother. When me and my younger brother go there, it has been good.

I really like the doctor, the doctor is excellent! She explained things to us in detail and I am so happy. Because of her, I'm very happy about the whole place. That means a lot to me that they know my husband's situation.

So far so good for this experience. This is our second time using Townhouse Center. The first time we used the facility, my loved one stayed for a couple of months. I can tell you that that experience was very positive. They took good care of him and he made progress with his rehab program. He left in great condition especially compared to the state he arrived in at Townhouse. This stay has been going well so far.

It's pretty good but some things we were not happy about. The staff needs to be a little more cheery in their delivery. My brother said his room is dark.

My father was a patient at Town house nursing home in Uniondale, for a year and it was extremely a horrible experience and place to send your loved one to be there as a patient. Even though he had Alzheimer's and slight weakness when walking, he was able to walk with support. The care was very poor that the nursing staff did not assist him to get changed or even give him showers. Each day, we had to go wash and change him. Besides the poor care, the staff was nasty and mean when approached. The staff used to leave him on wheel chair day and night without putting him back in bed. This caused severe swelling in his legs ending up with edema and cellulitis. They never assisted him with feeding, which we as a family had to go and feed him every meal. If one day we couldn't make it, he was not fed. My father passed away in a year due to the poor care and abandonment from the nursing staff, which was complained to the nursing administration numerous times, without any results. I hope this helps anyone who is looking for choosing a place for assistance. This shouldn't be a place for an elderly to be cared and certainly not for Alzheimer's patients.

My loved one is very happy. The rehab therapists have been very good. She's very stubborn and they're getting her to work with them. That's impressive. They are incredible people, very helpful, and they put your mind at ease. The nurses are also doing really well. Her whole team has been really good. It is very clean! The meals look fine. I think they're very good at communication. Every Wednesday there's a meeting and if you can't get in they'll do it on the phone. They're really good at letting us know what's going on and keeping us updated.

My loved one says the rehab therapists are providing good service and breaking him up! Everyone is nice and the nurses treat him well. It's clean. Sometimes, the meals are okay, and sometimes they're good. Everyone calls me and lets me know what's going on, and give me an explanation and details regarding his care.

The rehab therapists are trying to strengthen my loved one but she fights this so it is a slow process. The staff is friendly. Her aides and nurses are friendly. It is very clean. She doesn't like the food but I see others who are happy. We call each other and when I go there they tell me what is going on.

I'm very happy with them. My husband made a huge improvement and I almost don't believe it. They have the type of therapy he needs and he's getting a lot of it. The nursing care wasn't great in the beginning but it's gotten much better and we're very satisfied with it now. The cleanliness was okay. If I call they always answer. They always connect me.

The staff comes often and does their rounds. I see them very often in the room. When the nurses come to give medication, they introduce themselves and tell me what they're going to do. They let me know what's going on, from the doctors, nurses, and social workers. I'd like the aides and nurses to introduce themselves because sometimes I have to wonder who is who.

A Place for Mom has scored Townhouse Center for Nursing and Rehab 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
