I worried how my Dad would adjust to apartment living but he is doing very well. He seems to be comfortable and happy. The facility is clean, friendly and busy. I am very pleased for him.

My sister in law was there for seven months. She was in the assisted living area. She was unable to move to a wheelchair without assistance from two helpers. They did not tell me when we signed up that she needed a level B facility. They are a level A facility. They only have one helper for 15 residents in assisted living, and if there had been a fire, she would have not been able to get out. Before I learned about their inadequacy to take proper care of her, I had negotiated a lower monthly fee because we were unable to continue paying at the rate they charged. However, they continued for the next two months to draw the higher amount from my bank account each month. When I brought this to their attention in writing and in person, there was no returned phone calls and no reimbursement. If you have trouble with them, they will not respond to your issues.

I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the quality of service. Clean and inviting. The only drawback for me is the actual location as I want to be closer to my daughter in Lewisville.

I really was impressed with the apartments and the living community. They have a large assisted living unit that allow you to have a nice sized apartment still. They were in the top two of my choices. No memory care was the downside for me.

As Long as your loved one needs no help and can't taste, good place. Fire Station with ambulance across the street. Nobody can explain services available. Oh yeah, Don't count on transportation being available when you need it- i.e. doctors appointments. If you need assistance for anything-forget it. RUN NOW!

I give this community 5 stars. The most important thing about this community is that the energy is so positive. All the apartments I looked at had great feng shui. For those of you who think "pooh, pooh" to unseen forces, then just be assured that you or your relative want to live in a place with lots of light and the feel of energy flowing around you as opposed to claustrophobia or a prison cell-like space where you don't even feel like moving. These apartments are wonderful, modern, spacious and a real value as far as rental price per square foot. The food is great. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I really liked all the residents I met. The only negative is that there is no underground parking. However, there is covered parking for a fee and the parking area is gated.

It is still an adjustment for me with my move to this community. There is room for improvement in many areas around the community. I was told that I was moving into a clean apartment, and it was not. There was a bug problem, and they weren't able to fix it for 3 weeks. They are slow to respond to concerns. The staff at first to very kind, but after a while they become cold towards you. It is still a work in progress for myself in this community.

The care at this community. We are happy with the cleanliness of the community. They offer really good meals and I like knowing that my mom is happy with the nice variety. She is enjoying the activities that are offered for her to participate with the other residents. Other families might want to tour this community for the care and the value that is available for a loved one.

This looked like a beautiful community when we toured it. The people we met were nice. This community is centrally located, however it was just a little more expensive than what we were looking for.

I have nothing but praise for The Reserve at North Dallas Senior Living. After an exhaustive search through the entire metroplex for the very best senior living facility for my father, I found this wonderful community. Being extremely selective about the amenities my dad's new home needed to be able to provide him with, I was thrilled to discover he could find everything right there. From the first visit, he and I noticed how considerate and warm the entire staff was and how friendly the other residents were. Not only is the community gorgeous (having had a full face-lift), but it has a full roster of activities, on-site home health, and a great location for shopping and doctors. Medical City is right down the road and transportation for the residents is easy to schedule. We tasted the menu and loved all the choices of food, as well as just plain felt like we were exploring a luxurious resort. My dad has since moved in and is the most content I have ever seen him, with no complaints. For the first time ever, I feel that my father is living a full life in an environment where he is truly cared for and appreciated.

The Reserve at North Dallas was lovely. The staff was all fantastic and we got a good tour of the place. The reason we had to choose another community was the price. The Reserve was out of our budget, but it was a very nice place.

The community worked with me when I moved in. Things however have not gone as well as I would have hoped. They forgot to run cable into many rooms including mine. It has been about a month since I moved in and I still do not have cable. My room does have a dishwasher, washer and dryer as well as a full size refrigerator. The food is ok but the service to bring it to your room is slow. Housekeeping has not been to my room yet.

A Place for Mom has scored The Reserve at North Dallas 8.9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
