unfriendly, rude, workers on their phones, never answers the phone . A Director who Never returns a call. Medication in found in the bottom of an empty boost bottle can't find a worker to ask what it.

Changed management company recently and is planning on closing the facility to any outside physicians and nurses effective [date removed]. Residents will either have to use the geriatric team they are bringing in or you will have to take your loved one out to see anyone else. Not comfortable with this situation

There were a few kinks at first, but they were all ironed out early after we moved in. The staff are very accommodating to my mom's needs, and she now calls The Reserve home.

We toured with The Reserve at Katy. The facility was larger and felt more like a hospital. We were looking for a place that felt more like home.

It was a short stay of less than a month for my friend, but we were very pleased with everything. Everyone was so kind. Mr. [name removed] said it was the nicest place he has ever lived. Therapy was awesome!

At this time, my loved one is not very happy at the facility. They often complains about the evening staff and the decline in the quality of food/meals. They say that a lot of staff that were there in October are now gone.

The community staff is very welcoming and is good at inviting my loved one personally to join in activities. They would like access to Sunday worship services. The Bible class was not meeting for awhile, but I believe has started up again. A more systematic plan for integrating new people would be great. They need to find a better way to facilitate to make relationships accessible.

We were oversold on levels of care in a vulnerable time. The risk that we took everyday in caring for our loved one was horrible due to low staffing. I would never recommend the community to others. The caregivers are very sweet and very short staff. The administration is trash and they oversell what the care staff can handle due to the lack of adequate staffing. There is poor internal communication. Our observation is that the caregivers have no respect for administration and the administration has no respect for the care staff. There was never a working vehicle to be able to take residents to doctor appointments while my loved one was here. The activities director was decent at trying to get the residents engaged in activities. However, there were times that I heard from residents didn't know what they were watching. I wish the community would focus on the quality of care instead of quantity of residents. There were times that the residents would wait more than 30 minutes to get assistance after pushing the call button.

Memory care is understaffed, no or little stimulation or activities for memory care residents. Most staff spends their time on their phone and there is very high rotation. Don’t do laundry very often. And yes there was a scabies outbreak.

We toured with The Reserve at Katy and we were not very impressed. The facility was older and needed updates. It just did not seem to be well cared for. We were looking for something newer that was bright and cheery and that was not what we found here.

I toured The Reserve at Katy and it was an okay experience. The staff were nice, but I didn't like how the rooms were setup. The building itself was also a bit older. We chose another community because we were looking for something a bit newer.
Don't ever put anyone there that you love. We are moving our loved one out on Saturday. Within a month of being here, we received a call that they had a scabies outbreak in memory care. Within one week from the announcement, my mom had caught them and it was transferred to her from the caregivers. The same day I went to visit her and I was told by a caregiver that she was the only one there for 17 residents. The caregiver also mentioned that she didn't know if there was any help coming in to relieve her. I texted the director who was unware of the entire situation and if I wouldn't have texted her, she wouldn't have known.

We were in am emergency situation trying to find a place for her, there was a lot going on and The Reserve really took the time to listen to us and talk with us. They helped us get through the paperwork and were just really attentive and accommodating. When we speak with our sister-in-law she talks about how good the meals are and we would not hesitate to recommend this community to others

This was a good community it was just that our loved one needed to be in memory care. We did not realize this and my loved one just needed more one on one care. There was nothing wrong with the community at all she just needed that extra assistance and attention.
My husband was only here for 2 days. They did not know he had passed away, my children had to find him. They charged us [price removed] for only 2 days because they charged him for the next month. We were not able to get any type of refund or lower cost because they said it had to be shared with A Place for Mom. It was a terrible experience.
