My loved one is currently a resident at The Delaney at Parkway Lakes and the overall experience has been great so far. The friendliness and cleanliness are great. The staff is accommodating and kind. The food is excellent. The activities are good and they offer many of them. As for the value for cost, personally I think it is too expensive, but isn't everything now days. I wish it provided Medicaid. However, still good quality compared to others.

My mom suffered there for 3 weeks and we got her out as quick as possible. It was a costly mistake in that they did not refund us any of the set up fee. For the 1st 8 days she was put in isolation(Covid) and given cold food 3 meals a day, food was better when my dad could take her to the main dining room.

I wanted some place that was close to where I live. It's about 15 min away. Just about everything else was closed to 30 min from my house.

The sales people will promise you things that the organization has no intention of providing. When I commented on things like - I was told my mom would be able to choose between two meals - they said - sorry you were told, that is not true. I also come and observed activities before deciding - again - was told (and saw) residents could pick between 2-3 activities at any time. Also not true - there is one activity at time and it usually sitting and watching tv or listening to music on tv. They do have stretches but there is no researched methods to help memory - which I was also told. Also - do not believe that they have any true memory care programming like heartfelt connections (mentioned by sales person). They didn't even know what it was when I asked. Again - do not trust whatever the sales people tell you. Also - I suggest putting a camera and remote thermostat in the room so you can monitor that. My mom AC broke and the room was 88 degrees when I came to visit. No one noticed.... then they out a temporary unit in and it heated up her room. I called to ask them to check on her and they said it was fine. I didn't believe them - came and it was 89 degrees in the room. I now monitor the temperature remotely (AC broke again last week / saw immediately on thermostat and complained). If your loved one can take care of themselves - this place is fine - as you don't need care. If they cannot - either put in cameras and thermostats so you can watch them all the time - because these folks don't. (Note - when asked how often they would check on my mom - sales people said all the time. Director said we can't set times because then we are a nursing home.... so they don't check). They do come at 10pm - waking mom up, turn on all the lights and pick up garbage. Also - just for fun - when my mom moved in she did not receive a shower or have laundry done for over a week until I complained. Beware of this place.

The staff at The Delaney at Parkway Lakes is great, helpful, and willing to assist with special requests. The facility is kept very clean and smells good. The move is was easy. My loved one was greeted with a red carpet and a lot of staff to welcome and current residents! I Definitely would recommend this facility to others. The cost is reasonable and service and care are excellent!

My loved one lives at The Delaney at Parkway Lakes. The meals are great. They have a lot of activities. They seem to really care about their residents. However, communication with family members is lacking, especially after they receive the first payment. Overall, I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

Maintenance was not willing to replace the thermostat in her room for over a week and it was 65 degrees there.

The food is terrible, but they are waiting to get a new chef. I woud like to see the quality, of the food improved. They have lots of great activities. It's great value for the money. I picked this community, because of the friendliness of the staff, and how clean it was.

I was recently diagnosed with ALS. My doctor gave me some recommendations for communities. The Delaney fits all my needs with the Doctor onsite and Home Health Resources to help me with small daily tasks. It is an added bonus that three meals a day are included. I will be moving in next month.

My loved one was there for respite care, and needed nursing care. The food was horrible, and was not appropriate for a diabetic They messed up our billing, and they were supposed to do an auto draft, and they did it later, and they overcharged me. They messed up big time. They did not update me on the level of care that my loved one was receiving. A caregiver was rude, and yelled at my loved one. There was not a coordinated effort with the medication. The people are very enthusiastic but not very welll trained. The nurse practitioner who administered the medical care was excellent.

The implementation team was good. Housekeeping is very friendly. The Doctor is okay. The medical office staff is not responsive, but the front staff is friendly.

I toured with my mom and we were invited to stay for lunch. I ordered the special of the day and my mom ordered the Delaney Salad. The presentation was great but the taste was even better.

One of my favorite things that they offer is the memory care service. Dementia and memory loss can be so rough on those going through it. Seeing a community that takes that difficulty to heart, brings comfort to its residents and their families. Social interaction and movement is essential feeling great and relevant. The Delaney has so many social gatherings and events to take advantage of.

From the warm greeting at the front desk to- the amazing dining and wonderful lifestyle and enrichment program, this is the best retirement community in the area!! The residents call it "living in a resort" or a "cruise ship on land!" It is a 10/5!!
