The Reserve at Amarillo

The facility is clean and the staff are super polite and patient with all the residents. The rooms are a little small but the size of the bathrooms are great and roomy.

When I had to ask four staff members to help me move mom from the wheel chair to the recliner and it took 29 minutes. That falls into several categories. I want to find a better place for mom. This is the third place for mom, but I what my mom to be well taken care of.

I have had two friends who have moved there mothers to different locations; all of the other places are to far or down town. I have some down sides and I have some up sides. We would rather not move her if possible. She hates change, and she has had some difficulty adjusting to this move. Hate to move her again. Yes, I would recommend it because it is better than so many other places.

There are not enough workers for the number of residents. They sell you on the fact that they check on each person every hour. That was not the case with my mom. When my dad was there visiting, they just assumed that he could change her wet pants since he was already there. The whole reason she was there was to have someone do the work so my dad didn’t have to do it. Several times on the weekend, the public bathrooms were filthy and disgusting.

My loved one was previously a resident at The Reserve at Amarillo and the experience was great for her at this facility. The Reserve is an amazing place. My loved one's stay was a respite stay. But short term or long term, I would recommend The Reserve at Amarillo to others. My loved one passed in March, but she would have been going back for another stay this summer if she were still with us.

I am very impressed with the care that she is given. The staff is very respectful to the residents and outstanding at deflecting her when she is getting over excited at me so I can slip away. I would say her room is "spartan but adequate" which helps greatly in keeping it clean. They push her to join in on activities rather than sitting.

I have had to ask them to clean the room and also give my husband a shower. They have also changed some meds without telling me. I am here 90% of the time and do most of his care. I feel like there should be a credit on his bill for that. They do let me eat and sleep here for no charge. I Am either sleeping in a recliner or on a flour mat.

My loved one is currently a resident at The Reserve at Amarillo and the experience has been great at this facility. The staff is awesome. They stayed late to show us around the facility and took the time to go over everything that the facility has to offer. They know all of their residents by name and you can tell that they love them all. The residents are clean and happy. I would recommend The Reserve at Amarillo to others.

The Reserve at Amarillo is a really caring place.

The community is a good place for the memory care unit however if you are looking for other care I would probably not recommend. I really like that the food served to the community is very good. I am happy with the food served to my loved one. I wish when activities are going that was more attention given to the residents who need it.

I have been very pleased with the care my husband gets there however, I do stay on top of his care needs on a daily basis. The caregivers are always willing to go the extra mile with whatever I need or I feel my husband should have. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The food is delicious and it is well seasoned and never bland. I would recommend this community to others families if you can afford it.

Autumn Leaves is an amazing facility, The care staff really tends to the residents and I feel like they genuinely care about the residents. The facility is very well-kept and the food is great!!! I recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a clean, caring home for their family members.

My mom moved into Autumn Leaves in June. She goes to the dining room at 8am and doesn’t go back till 7:30 at night. They keep her SO active. After the first month living here she recognized three people at church that Sunday. I feel like it’s becau this community keeps her mind and body so active. You pay a more but it is worth every penny.

Mother has been a resident of Autumn Leaves for eight months and we believe that it is the best place for her. Everyone on staff is wonderful and so caring. They always take time to stop and say kind words to Mother as they go about their very busy days. They provide a real home-like atmosphere and try to engage each resident as much as possible. Countless times each week I see residents being hugged and cared for. They sing and pray together every day, along with daily activities and special occasions. And to top it off, the food is great!! We have had our mother at Autumn Leaves in Amarillo for about 7 months now. We are very happy with the tender care she receives. There are always lots of activities going on and the residents are engaged and happy. The caregivers are loving and kind. The facility is clean and beautifully decorated. I would recommend Autumn Leaves as a wonderful place for your loved one.

My Father n Law has been at Autumn Leaves since June , I am so happy that we found them . The staff at AL is one of the best I have ever been around . They treat him with love and compassion as if he was there parent . The fascility is clean and very well furnished . I love the fact that its a very secure , no one can come in or out with out some sort of key card or code . They have several activities they do with the residents , they keep them very busy so they do not just sit in there rooms , they get them up and get them dressed . My mother n law was in a different home and there is no comparison to AL . Best place to take a loved one because they will be taken care of with love and compassion .

This looked like a very nice well taken care of community. The person that took us on tour was very friendly and helpful. This community seems to offer some daily activities and some nice amenities. This community was just a little higher priced than what we were looking for.

I have no complaints about how things are going for my loved one since she has made the move into the community. The staff are all very helpful and I am comfortable with the quality of care they are providing her. She has had no complaints about the meals and enjoys participating in activities from time to time with the other residents.

Very impressed! Clean, inviting, homelike. Small enough for very personalized care. The nurses and administrators I met were kind, professional, and obviously cared for their residents. They had a system for maximum freedom for residents, including outdoor gardens in a closed courtyard, but also to keep the wanderers safe. The food was really good, and I thought their ideas of a room for meals with visiting family and for occasional "parties" and "fancy dinners" for the residents was a great idea. I also liked hearing they have community service days, outings, gardening, crafts and many other activities to keep life interesting and encourage relationships and exercise. I really wish there were an "autumn leaves" in Colorado, for other relatives of mine should the need arise!

I really liked it and thought it would be a good fit for mom. but I think it is out of our budget.
