My father is living at the community and I am very happy. It makes me feel relaxed to know where he is and that he's being taken care of! I did not do all 5s because my father feels lonely. Which I think is an issue he has not that the staff can help. I wish their were more activities he was interested in but I'm not sure if he voiced what he enjoys. But they definitely have a variety! The meals are decent it's helped him get in better shape! I know they need to please the masses so having common foods is most likely best but maybe more options would be good but I think they do a great job preparing what they provide. The price is okay. He is definitely getting a good deal based off living alone and it takes care of the stress of him being independent but helping him achieve his needs. The year price change was bumped up by [fee removed] a month as well as going to yearly leases instead of month to month. I am still very happy with our choice and wouldn't change it. I appreciate a place for mom finding it for us. Thank you! Our family experience has been enjoyable and we would highly recommend the community for residents that want independent living but also need basic assistance!

They have had about 5 rounds of senior staff turnover. They have yet to remedy the hot water issue, which requires residents to run the water for about 40 minutes before showering just to get warm water. We often have to boil water to wash dishes. This has been a problem since I moved in. The food used to be good, but under the new cook the meals consistently don't taste good. They used to provide transport to Doctor office visits within 24 hrs. Now, you have to reserve it a week in advance. This is a problem for elderly people without a car who need to make late minute Doctor appointments when issues arise.

I would recommend The Polaris Community due to the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. As an independent living facility, the apartments are very nice and quite large. There are plenty of daily and weekend activities to participate in. I haven't eaten there, but the food served always smells amazing. Remember this is not an assisted living complex, so there are not nurses on hand. However, if you need to travel, say for business, just let the front office know and the staff will check on your loved one and report back if requested. The complex atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxed. If your loved one has a dog, just note that there is not an outside dog park. Other than that, I highly recommend the complex.

A fantastic independent living facility. Clean, accessible, great staff, excellent dining facility. Honestly, it was the nicest, most affordable place we looked at. We are eternally grateful to A Place for Mom for directing us there.

The staff is very attentive. Housekeeping = apartments are surface cleaned twice a month. Heavy cleaning must be hired from commercial cleaners from outside. Communication with families is done for emergencies. Move in was done by private movers and family. There are many activities available, plus a committee of residents that have a lot of say on what is planned. I am very happy to be living at Polaris Community.

Cleanliness - sometimes trash is not picked up in trash room for a couple days. When it comes to the activities there is always stuff going on, whether it's movies, card games, workouts. The food is great, her neighbors are very friendly. She loves that they are pet friendly. The food staff all know her & are exceptionally friendly.

I personally love everything about it. I know that my father is safe, taken care of fed, and for a great price. My dad expresses that he is bored, lonely, and that there aren't a lot of diabetic meals, and the portion sizes are small. But he also does not communicate well. And I don't think he's trying to make friends yet. So I believe that if he told a staff member they would quickly resolve any concerns he has. The staff is absolutely amazing my father was in an awful spot when he moved in and the staff and residents helped furnish his home and bought him clothes. The only reason I put 4s were because since I don't live there everyday or visit often I don't want to over rate. But I am truly impressed! I am very grateful for [name removed] for helping me find this place and would recommend it to any one looking for a independent senior living community. A place for mom is a wonderful organization that is amazing and just as helpful, welcoming, and professional as the community they provided! It was definitely an experience that I would expect for gladly pay for but it cost nothing!

So far my parents have had a good experience. The Polaris seems to have a lot of turnover in staff, but that is probably due to the crap economy in the US. The meals are very good from what I hear and the price seems to be very reasonable. We have had a very good experience. Good management, and it is a really nice facility.

I'm currently a resident at The Polaris Community and everything has been great at this facility. One concern though, is that there is no Assisted Living at this building. Also, there are no administrators or maintenance workers in the building from Friday PM to Monday AM. Overall, things are very good. I toured this facility three times before moving here. I always felt that my questions were answered and that my family that accompanied me was made to feel welcome. The friendliness and staff are great. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

Don't be intimidated by the looks of the place. It looks very upscale, but the place is a great value when considering all the amenities and services it has to offer. Plus, the residents are very welcoming. And Mom hasn't stopped raving about the food since she's been there.

We chose Polaris Community because they are less than half the price out of the ones we looked at, the staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the facility itself is brand new. The food is excellent, I have eaten here myself. The meals are chef prepared. You get 2 meals and breakfast is continental. They have A TON of activates, they have a movie theatre, billiard, and even their own bar. The apartment sizes are very spacious. They have studios all the way to 2 bedroom 2 bathrooms. I recommend them to everyone that I know. The value is unbeatable.

It has been a great experience, mom loves it here. She loves being around other residents and all of the activities they provide. She especially loves the card games and movies. The whole facility is always so clean no matter when we stop in. Everyone is so helpful and quick to respond. If we have any questions or concerns they are only a call away. The value for the money is amazing especially for what is provided and offered. I would for sure recommend The Polaris Community to others looking.

Our tour at The Polaris was very good and very informative. They gave us all the information we needed. We just decided we weren't ready for multiple level apartment living. Also, the rent included three meals a day, which we didn’t really need.

A Place for Mom has scored The Polaris Community 9.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
