The food is a disappointment. It could be so much better. We have no stove. How can you run a 1st class establishment without a stove? (Give me a break)

The Bristol is a beautiful place, but even more important is the staff. I cannot say enough about the director who is so hands on and approachable. The same with the wellness director, all the nurses, and aides. Love them all. Even the housekeepers and front desk. You get to know everyone. They really care and love my mom.

The ability to meet with residents & guests everyday is a wonderful social time - good for new residents to make friends. Quality & tasty meal is very low.

I cannot say enough about the nursing care my mother and father have received while being at The Bristol. The nurses treat them both with respect and dignity. I am very thankful they are in the care of The Bristol and gives me a piece of mind while being away. I know they are being cared for and I can enjoy just being their daughter again without the title of caregiver. The Bristol has been a blessing for our family.

My mother was moved from another facility in 2023 to The Bristol, within a few months there was a tremendous change over in management. Thank goodness that happened. The Team that is now in place has a warm laid back approach caring for the residents. The Director [name removed] was thoughtful and intentional on picking the right individuals to form the foundation to springboard the mission of this community. Extremely friendly, open and transparent is the care provided to the residents. The facility is clean and welcoming with a ton of wonderful activities to keep your loved one engaged. The dining has its challenges meeting the appetite of all the residents. There are hits and misses but that is to be expected in a cafeteria designed menu. I highly recommend a tour and meet and greet with [name removed] and his Team. You will be pleasantly surprised when comparing over other facilities. We are happy knowing our Mom is surrounded by Love and Respect.

My family members moved into The Bristol last October and it has been the greatest blessing to happen to my family. They truly have made The Bristol their home. Its been great to go visit them and having them introduce to all their friends and just watching them flourish. I am very thankfully for the staff and how they all take the time to listen to family and make them feel supported. I wish we would of made the move sooner.

My uncle and aunt currently live at The Bristol and has made a huge difference in their quality of life. I no longer have to worry if they are eating or being taken care of. Every time I go to visit them they are always happy and usually surrounded by a group of people. I wish they would of made the move sooner but happy it finally happened.

I agree with [name removed] and [name removed]. I did go to the management with my concerns and they always had condescending answers for me. I hope these negative reviews will have them get better because the residents that live there deserve better. My mom is now doing well at a much better-run community with a very compassionate director and staff.

Our mother started at The Bristol as assisted living and it began as a wonderful experience. However, as her health declined, the aides continued to be supportive, but the nursing staff was unorganized. We worked through the issues and thought that everything was resolved. Until our mom had to begin hospice. We sat back and watched her slowly suffer due to issues with medical orders and communication disconnects. This facility is not nimble and our mother was a victim of medical cruelty when she needed support the most. Our hospice provider pulled in continuing care because The Bristol staff were too inexperienced to support our mom. If your parent lives, or would like to live at this facility, please be proactive with the more advanced care that will inevitably be needed.

Response from The Bristol
September 27, 2022LS, thank you for your feedback. We encourage you to reach out directly to the community to discuss your concerns with the Executive Director.
The Bristol is a beautiful building and the rooms are nice, but it is not a good place for assisted living. I have dealt with 4 Assisted Living facilities for parents and other family members and Bristol is very substandard in their care. It is not run well. The floor nurses can't answer questions about the resident. The standard answer is "I don't know". They are not tuned in to the residents needs. I asked then to do a UTI test for my family member as she was getting disoriented and upset. It took them 9 days to get the result back and she did have a UTI. Another time it took 6 days to get a result back and again it was positive. She missed a lot of meals, her alarm pendant went missing for more than 14 hours and she was not able to call for help if she needed it. Very disappointed in it. We moved her to another Assisted Living and she is doing very well. The medical care has been wonderful and I don't go home at night worried that she is not being taken care of.

Response from The Bristol
September 27, 2022Lynn we encourage you to reach out directly to the community to discuss your concerns with the leadership there. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
We chose The Bristol because it was very clean, beautifully decorated, fir into our budget plan ,and it was very close and convenient to our house and shopping. They have a lot of amenities offered such as a café, beauty salon, movie room, a full bar where they have happy hours, etc. They do also have a private dining room you are able to reserve for friends and family. My dads apartment has a full kitchen, full washer and dryer in a closet, large bathroom/bedroom/living area and a balcony that faces the back walking trail and trees. I would definitely recommend The Bristol

Response from The Bristol
June 14, 2022Thank you for the review. We are so glad you are enjoying the activities.
This was a nice community but the prices were a little higher than other communities. It was really expensive and did not have as many activities and things to do as another community that I was looking at and the location was also further. The community was not bad at all there was just another community that worked out better for my loved one.

June 14, 2022Thank you for the review Melissa. We are glad you were able to find a good fit for your loved one!
Excellent facility. We needed to move to an Assisted Living center. All of management and employees are great. The Bristol is right next to the place we lived in for 38 years. It was a hard decision to make, but turns out to be a very good decision. We are very happy to be living here.

A Place for Mom has scored The Bristol 9.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
