The staff is wonderful. Everyone is polite and so very caring to my parents. From the caregivers to the nurses to the administrators they are all genuine and compassionate. The 2 bedroom apartment is the largest of the 5 places that I visited in 2022. Very nice layout, new paint and flooring. Their cable/phone company is horrible but that's not the facilities fault. Once the cable finally got working the free cable provided is very good. Lots of live sports channels for my dad.... Read more

The on site doctor is very good which some of the smaller places we looked at do not have. It is expensive but it is worth it because she is doing very good here and she has not done well in a long time. They do put a lot of effort and try really hard to please the residents and family, I find that they listen to your questions or concerns that you may have. They have activities provided but my mom has not gone to any yet, we are going to try to go to a church service this weekend and ease her into them. I would recommend and already have to others.

This was the second community we had toured and right away you could just tell how nice everything looked. Our loved one seems really happy so far with the meals and dining service. They are not very social so they do not participate in the activities, but on their Facebook page it looks like they have a lot of fun stuff there. We have recommended this community to other families and we will continue to do so.

We chose The Heritage Tomball because I really liked the staff when I met them for the first time, the location was good, and it is a great value for the money. The apartment sizes are just fine for what she needs. My mom says that she absolutely loves the food. I would recommend to others looking.

I would recommend The Heritage Tomball with some reservations. They were short staffed during my loved one's stay. My loved one would get one shower instead of two showers a week. The activities were limited and due to the pandemic they weren't able to start church services up again. The dining room has assigned seating and this wasn't conveyed to the residents.

With a community I feel like you get what you pay for with my mother I felt that there was just different care needed. Nothing negative about the community at all just not the right fit for our loved one.
My parents have had an amazing experience with The Heritage Tomball. From the beginning of the process going to tour up until now it has just been wonderful. We would absolutely recommend them to others looking.

I would highly recommend the community to others for their loved ones. This is a clean and friendly place with good services. It is a good value for the money. The food isn't individually as targeted as my loved one would like.

Didn't feel like home for my loved one.
After my mother passed there was no communication to the other staff. I had employees calling me to set up appointments after she passed. There was a lack of responsiveness.
I would highly recommend this community to others based on my experience. I have not met one person in the community that has not been kind, compassionate, and really treat my loved one with respect. The executive director is amazing and really changed this community when she came on 2 years ago. The community is an excellent value and they have very nice apartments.

The evaluation that the community did for my loved one was not very accurate. The care level jumped up almost immediately and so did the price. I would recommend this community but make sure to understand the initial evaluation process.

I think if your parent is independent and can live in the independent living section, then it's a good community. From what I've heard about assisted living, it doesn't sound as good. And I'm not sure about memory care. Their biggest problem is a real lack of staff. It's been hard for them to keep good staff, especially in housekeeping and food service areas. Many times there's been no housekeeping for the residents. But overall the property has been very clean. They had a great chef who left recently, and the new chef is not nearly as good. They don't have an activities director right now, and they're just now starting back up offering activities. I think the concierges are very friendly and helpful. The residents themselves are really great. The apartments are really nice and roomy with lots of storage. I think the price, especially for the independent living, is very good.

The caregivers are friendly and they are very personable. I chose this community because the price was reasonable and it is in close proximity to my house. The food is good and they offer a menu with three menu choices in restaurant style dining. I would very much recommend this community to other families. They update me with phone calls, on facebook, and emails regarding COVID , activities, and updates with my mom. They include families in activities.

If you need place to live independently, it is about as good as you are going to get. I chose this community because it seemed like the best choice of the ones I looked at. I would recommend this community to other families. The food is good and they offer a pretty good variety.

My mother has been a resident for 4 years and absolutely loves the community. The residents are very close and welcome new comers. The management team is amazing-- making every day count for residents, and treating them as family. I have been so impressed and so satisfied with Mom's care.

The Heritage in Tomball is a nice facility and is well maintained. For the price you pay the food is horrible and keeps getting worse. They keep charging for things that are questionable. They charge a monthly fee for the emergency pendant. If a patient is self medicating they are now adding a $50 monthly fee to have medication refills delivered to the medication room to be delivered when they make their medication rounds. Mind you this is not a special trip. I feel that they are trying to nickel and dime their residents.

After much deliberation I moved my mom into The Heritage Tomball. It's a pretty building with a nice interior. The ladies at the desk are always nice and helpful. I would sit with my mom many times during lunch time. Some things I saw bothered me. Some of the wait staff are really rude to the community members. I've also heard the way the nurses talk to residents, in a condescending and impatient way. She got to talking with a few other residents who now all sit together in the dining hall (it was easy for her to make friends here which is a plus). She has heard a lot of talk about the a death of a resident due to neglect from the nurses on duty. I did end up moving her to a different facility after I found that out. On top of that we left for other reasons. The water turns off or the water heater stops working and the fire alarm goes off on a weekly basis. The food is sub-par. My mom would never complain though. I've had it a handful of times. It's basically glorified cafeteria food. And it's the same stuff rotated. We found the Heritage to have too many changes in such a short time. Too many directors come and go. And the cost of living there for the amenities is way too high in my opinion.

It deeply concerns us that this wasn’t your experience and would like the opportunity to discuss the matter further with you. Please contact our District Director of Operations, Angie Smerz, at [removed] and she will be happy to have a conversation with you.
Was impressed with the two options they had available. I will be visiting 3 other places tomorrow and they will have to top this one. Had maintenance men providing tour at first due to confusion in time of appointment. They did good and than [name removed] showed up. Who else would do that?

We will be moving my dad into this facility. In-house physical therapy and exercise classes 6 days a week made the difference. [Name removed] worked with us very closely.

A Place for Mom has scored The Heritage Tomball Senior Living 7.6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
