The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Queens

Everybody looks happy. My dad is happy with the therapy. They change him every evening. They keep up with clean night gown right before he goes to bed. Thank you very much to everyone who has been so nice to him. Everything is fine, except my dad was getting leg massages at this hospital and I really wish there was a way it could be done at the facility. I wish the doc had explained why he doesn't have the massage. The food is good.

They have very good therapist. I would give it a 10! The therapists from physical therapy and occupational therapy were great. The nurses were wonderful. The aides were good and it was very clean. Every day it was mopped and swept.

Oh my gosh, the first night my mom came in they had oven fried chicken. It smelled delicious! I was like, are you kidding me! I was pleased with how the facility looked and with how my mother looked. They showed genuine concern. I feel comfortable with my mom there. The staff have very informative and helpful. They have been really good. It seems pretty nice. Also, they care about what the patients say. My mom asked for fresh food, and we got it immediately! It was quicker than room service. They keep me in the loop on everything that is happening. They are great when it comes to responding. I have experience with nursing homes. I walked in here, and did not know what to expect. It did not smell and it was clean!

The people there are nice, but like any situation they could use more staff. They are all nice, especially the therapist and the nurses. I ask questions and they help me out. I find it odd that my father is on 1st floor, but we have to go to the lobby to use the visitor bathroom. I think there should be a bathroom on each floor.

Overall I'd recommend The Grand. I thought the hospital she was in before had better food.

I would definitely recommend the facility. To me, everything is going okay for my brother at the facility. The therapy services are excellent, the nurses are very good and the staff is very friendly. Our only concern up until this point is with the meals. They are very good but my brother cannot eat some of the things that are being served.

They are doing the best they can. They are friendly. Mom doesn't speak their language, but I see the people working hard over there. Most of the time I bring food to her though.

When my sister first came to the grand I thought oh no way but I am so amazed at the work and dedication and attention the nurses and aides provide to their residents. My sister is washed every day and changed and fed and taken to therapy everyday!! I am there every day and when I leave I know she is taken care of. They are truly a team...I know it is not an easy job at all and I am grateful and appreciate every one of them.

It's good. The staff are very polite and very friendly. It is very clean. The food is very good - a 10 out of 5!

My loved one is in the therapy and she said she is treated very well. It was hard to reach her the first weekend she was there. She is comfortable. The nursing care is very good. She says they are very friendly. She says it is very clean. She is eating well. They are nice but it is hard to get through by phone and getting a straight answer. Everyone has been very nice when I can talk with them and I would like more definitive answers.

Everything is great. They call me often from the facility. I really need the facility to push a better meal plan with her though. If they could improve this everything would be perfect.

Everything is great and I'd recommend The Grand. The food choices need to be better, more healthy snacks.

Rehab is good and my mom is improving. The social workers communicated well. However I do not like the place. They are not doing a good job. My mom does not like the food or dining area either.

It is excellent. The people are helpful and they have a nice garden. My loved one liked the nurses and they are very good. I talk with them every day. He said it is good. It is very clean.

It was very nicely decorated, and very clean, with no odors. The PT therapist told me what would go on.

The service is extraordinary. The nurses have been wonderful. The bedding is clean and lovely. The floors are clean. They all communicate well. The DON and social worker are also very impressive. The food is not that great though.

My mom's nurses that have been on her floor have been responding to her needs and she is having a good time there. My mom is very critical so to say that, that means they are good. She says she is happy with the therapy too. The staff are definitely friendly. She has no complaints about the meals either.

It was clean and they are very helpful with financial matters and getting my loved one's hair done. They inform me. The financial department communicates well. The woman in the insurance department has been great. I spoke with a male nurse about her care. There is no odor. Everything is sparkling clean there.

They have been extremely communicative and they have been really good with things over the phone and that is helpful since I live 2 hours away. They seem to have a great deal of patience and pleasant with a smile on their face. It's very clean. My loved one says the food is okay. I thought it looked good.
