The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Queens

The facility is very clean! My mother has complained a little bit about the meals. It is not liked a home cooked meal but they are edible. The communication has been very good!

The communication was good. The staff is very friendly. I notice that some of the rooms, the tiles are coming out and they seem to be in disrepair. She is telling me that food is very bland.

The rehab is actually my loved one's favorite part about the Grand. She really believes in the rehab strength overall. My mom has no complaints about the cleanliness. She went to the Grand because it offers kosher food. It's been really hard to get information from them about her treatment and what's going on. I have reached out, and they have not connected me with any doctors. I have only been able to contact nurses. So communication has been really difficult.

I would say overall she is doing alright there. I believe they are friendly. I did speak with her and she mentioned that it has been tough getting information especially when it comes to her discharge plan. Also, she mentioned that at times getting help can be a problem. The meals that have been served so far have been cold.

My dad does not have a problem with the therapy. We have to go out of our way to look for someone to get an update. The facility is very outdated and there is always a smell.

There is a rotation of staff and the quality is not always consistent. The physical therapy is excellent. I spoke with a supervisor on the weekend because it started out very rocky. The nursing assistant is absolutely amazing. The way the meals are served is poor.

The therapy is great and the nurses are awesome! I am not too happy with my loved ones stay here. The meals are terrible and no one has tried to call me with any updates.

I did my research before sending my father here and we are very happy with the choice! This was one of the top two places I found online for him. I inquired for a lot of information before sending my father here and so far it has turned out how I hoped it would! The nurses are excellent. There is one nurse who has been very compassionate, hard working, and is just a nice person.

My wife is very satisfied there - I actually just got off the phone with her and she sounded in such good spirits! Everything is great so far! There have been three nurses that have been especially very good. The meals have been very good and I can even say so myself, I had one. I for sure would recommend the facility! Their communication is very fast whenever we ask for anything.

I'd recommend The Grand overall. Some of the staff members have an attitude, mainly the night shift. One or two of the nurses and staff members are great the majority are just okay. The second floor should have more nurses when people call. There should be someone there to answer the phone at all times. She hates the meals. It's the taste, the variety you name it she just doesn't like it.

My loved one is happy and is treated nicely. She tells me this all of the time! She tells me they have her moving a lot and doing the stairs in therapy. She is better than when she went in. The nurses are phenomenal and they are so nice. The cleanliness is 5+ stars. One of the aides is very, very sweet. She is very patient with her. We are not there all of the time, but when I am there they update me. I can talk to the social worker about anything.

You guys are awesome and everyone is wonderful! The staff are all absolutely friendly, by all means. They keep everyone and everything clean.

I'd recommend The Grand at Queens!

They have been very accommodating. They should have better choices for meals though. The taste hasn't been good for her. She likes the hot tea.

It's nice. It's very good. The nursing care is good. You may have to wait a little bit sometimes, but you can't blame the aides. It's very clean. And the clothing they use is very clean. The Supervisor of the kitchen and the dietitian are great, they will substitute something that my wife doesn't like. They always replace something if she doesn't like it. The communication is good. You ask and they are right there to answer.

The rehab therapy and nurses are very good!

From what he has said, it seems to pretty good. They are all very nice. He seems pretty satisfied. The room is a little small for four people. It's a little bit crowded.

I was not very happy with the experience.

My mom is not eating meat and they were not taking her orders. They need more vegetarian options. My mom likes the therapy and the administration was great. Some of the staff told her that the doctor was not available. One of the nurses was great with my mom. But in the cafe there was plastic bottles under the tables and the utensil area was scattered. A lot of stuff was old. My mom's bed was broken, just a lot of maintenance issues.

They have been wonderful. The rehab and nurses are very good. I think they could do a better job with being diet friendly. I think the social services could communicate a little more often. But they always answer our questions.
