The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Queens

The people are nice, the facility is okay. The people make it! It's going good with the nursing care. The meals are good. Communication has been good.

The service is slow. Overall it's good. The staff care is good. Sometimes we have to call for them to clean, because they are short-staffed and busy. Also my loved one can't speak English and a translator is not available all the time there.

Sometimes my mother has her ups and downs. She restarted the therapy and it was awesome at first and then gave up and now she is doing this again. Sometimes the staff listens to her and sometimes they do not listen to her. I like one of the nurses and he is wonderful with my mother. He called me when they took her to the hospital. They do a great job with cleanliness. I am not too crazy about the doctor she has but otherwise everything is great.

It is okay. Everybody is nice. The food is good and she likes it.

Everyone is really nice. They are doing a very good job, nice staff and run nice. They are very very good. The nurses are good, and they change my sister often. Staff are wonderful and try to help you. They keep the place clean, there is no "nursing home" smell and always cleaning. She does not like it and arrives ice cold.

I am there all the time. I do most of his care while I am there. The therapy services at this facility are excellent!. He did have ants in his room. The meals are horrible at the facility. He refuses to eat the food so I have brought him food to the facility for the past 9 days.

It's been a spotty few weeks. One of the nurses stands out. The first few days there were no diet restrictions in order.

The place is clean. Most staff are very friendly, but some are not as friendly as should be. They did not label her clothes and let me know. They do not look up or make eye contact. Up in the air right now. Not too thrilled over the care yet.

She enjoys therapy and gets it twice a day. But overall she hates it there. She has to go to the doctor and pay to go there. You ring the bell and it takes long time to get them to take her to the bathroom. She fell out of bed twice. The food is awful and so terrible she cannot eat it and she is losing weight.

When my mom first entered the Rehab Section of The Grand I wasn't that impressed, since the facility wasn't new and looked like it needed a renovation. However, after several days passed I started to change my opinion. We did have some issues the first week, but they were straightened out after a meeting. The nurses, aides and staff in general were genuinely caring. I must say that the physical therapy staff were excellent and did a great job working to strengthen mom. Above all, our case worker, [name removed], was wonderful. She was always available, efficient, returned calls, kept us informed and really cared. The worst thing I could say is that the inside could use an updating and the food could have been better. All in all, when mom went home (after about 2 months), she was actually sad to leave everyone.

I am grateful for the help. My mom is getting PT and it is good. My mom does not speak English and there is always someone to help her. The people are excellent and I watch the therapy sessions and I appreciate it. She is walking slowly and she is improving. The nurses are all good. Most of the staff are friendly. The cleanliness is good. They clean my mom's room. Whenever I need some information or help, they always recommend someone I can speak with. Most of the time we bring food for her but the food is not that great for my mom.

The Grand is a great rehab.

We love this place and my loved one goes back there because it is the only place he will go. The PT staff are awesome. This place is kept very nice and clean. The food is not good in any of these places and it is kosher cooking. They call me all of the time with information. I like the first floor staff especially.

They gave good care.

It is comfortable, and feels like more of a vacation facility than rehab! The rehab is great, they work with my loved one more than others places in the past. A few of my family members have gone here, it's good. The nurses answer my questions, they are real good. The food is good too. They have called, send texts, and got my comments. They communicate more than others in past. It is not new but it's clean.

The staff are very nice, friendly, and attentive. It was perfectly clean. The meals are okay, no complaints.

It's in a good area, it's clean, and looks good. They do pretty good.

They do everything right and they call me. My loved one is happy there. The rehab therapy is great. The staff are very nice. They are always friendly and upbeat. I've never seen a problem with cleanliness. She likes the meals. They provide balloons on her birthday too!

I'd recommend The Grand at Queens.
