I find everyone at the front desk super friendly and helpful. The transportation service for errands has been a huge help and my dad hasn't had any issues scheduling rides. Legacy is the on-site therapy company and those therapists are great.

My mom is currently a resident at The Conservatory at Champion Forest and her experience has been very good so far. However, I heard from mom that they have hired new people in the kitchen and that the menu is not a very healthy selection. She told me that many of her friends there are not happy with it, either.

Weekends have been "iffy" for food. I would have rated Sunday a 3, but they have stopped the buffet on Sunday so hopefully things better on that day. There has been an issue with maintenance. Many of the residences on the west side get water in through the windows and balcony doors when there is a thunderstorm. It's happened in my parents unit 3 times in 3 months. This needs attention as capital improvement or deferred maintenance. Many people say they will leave if not remedied. It's been a great facility and experience for my parents. The doctor that makes house calls there has been great for them and they are also visited by mini specialist through a referral system. Overall, they have enjoyed the food and it has been better than expected. My parents also like the in-house physical therapy there, the aesthetic is very nice. It's great that residence. Get to walk inside both air-conditioning and heating during inclement weather. It's a great facility for getting in your steps and exercise. It is a beautiful home.

Great place, it's just that my parents need help now. So I had to move them. They need assistance during the day.

It has been a great fit for my mom. It has allowed her to meet new people and make new friends without having to drive somewhere to do it. It was the first place we looked at and it is beautiful. In the end, it was my mother that picked it over the other places she toured.

They've been fantastic all the way around at The Conservatory at Champion Forest. They even had to get an ambulance for Mom a week after she got moved in! Turns out, she picked up something too heavy and hurt her back and had to have surgery. The team there was really good at keeping Mom, my daughter in Houston and me in Florida all in the loop from start to move in! I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

They are positive all the way around. We picked this community, because I was able to get a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apt for the same price as a 1 bedroom elsewhere. Friendly and helpful staff. Biggest reason, the food is excellent!

My loved one likes the food a lot. We picked this communty, because it was the best value for the money, good location, the amount of resident engagement, they offered a lot of activies/things onsite, and the overall feel of the place.

My loved one is very happy here. My loved one is enjoying the meals and staff. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The amenities that come with the community are great. There is a place for the residents to get their hair cut here at the community. Some of the activities include holiday celebrations, exercises, and more for the residents to participate in. There are three meals a day served to the residents. The residents are able to choose if they want lunch or dinner. On Sundays they offer a brunch for the residents.

We have found the staff very friendly. But mom has said that she thinks the residents are not as friendly as some of her other senior apartments. Food is great, best food she has had in years. She also likes that breakfast is served for 2.5 hours and lunch/ dinner is served for SEVEN hours. Loves Sunday brunch with made to order omelets and mimosas! Two meals a day is perfect for her and having flexibility in eating times and free to go packaging works. She is very pleased with the activities schedule (rate a 5) but last minute cancellations bring it down a point She is very happy with the rate for her apartment. And they gave her one month free that freed up money for deposit and moving expenses. Easy access year round to the heated pool is her favorite thing! The facility is gorgeous. All the family members we toured loved the furniture and art. It looks like a luxury resort, not practical or medical like some. But they have overloaded a couple times with all the activities: church service or yoga, water aerobics or grocery runs,.... If they couple spread more things out, so you don't have to exclude 2 activities to do two more (and then hours with nothing) it would be an outstanding value! Especially appreciative of employee, [name removed]. [name removed] answered question after question, provided me free vouchers to try out the meals, and when mom changed her move in date a couple times graciously requested the necessary changes. He always had time for us and made us feel like vips! :-)

The community was nice, it was too big and didn't have a secure courtyard for the residents.
We chose The Conservatory at Champion Forest because of the cleanliness, the niceness of the facility, the friendliness of all of the staff, and the great location. [name removed] and [name removed] were very helpful and informative, they went above and beyond in the beginning and still do to this day. The food is excellent. We would definitely recommend to others.

The food is good, staff are friendly, and all of the residents are great. The facility is very clean. They do have a lot of activities provided, but I have not had time to participate in them yet. The appearance is very appealing when you walk in the front door. The apartment sizes vary, the walls appear to sound proof. Overall I would recommend The Conservatory to others looking.

My parents moved to Conservatory Champion Forest in 2017. The facility is stunningly beautiful. I felt warm and at home every time I entered the building. During the five years my parents were there I became well acquainted with the staff, the routine, the amenities, and was completely happy with them all. My parents truly felt safe and loved there, great, but as a caring daughter, when I felt uplifted every time I visited- that spoke volumes. I simply cannot think of a thing to complain about as far as independent living is concerned. There are agencies that are allowed to work on site for home health and daily care and that’s a whole other lovely story. The rates for rent, given the amenities is quite amazingly affordable. They have fantastic entertainment and activities. I just cannot speak highly enough. I’m a farm girl, but I round you there in a short second when I can no longer physically manage a farm. Thank you, Conservatory, for 5 amazing years with my parents.

A Place for Mom has scored The Conservatory at Champion Forest 9.8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
