I wanted to take a moment to let you know that my mom is doing great at The Commons. She has settled in well and seems to be very happy now. Initially, she wasn't too thrilled about the move and wanted to go back to her house. However, I'm pleased to say that things have changed. She's become quite content with her new surroundings. She's been enjoying playing bingo, has made some friends, and seems to have found a comfortable rhythm with everything. Thank you so much for all your efforts in making her transition a smooth one. The move in was very easy. Easy moving my loved one from Assisted to Memory Care also. Food has been an issue. My loved one does not eat pork, chicken or meat. They knew this going in. The current chef is really trying to make things there better. He has new recipes and I do think the food has been better since he came. Housekeeping is great. They empty trash and keep rooms clean. They do my loved one's laundry (I used to do it in Assisted Living). I think the staff are nice. They probably need more staff, but I think they try. I would like more activities on a daily a basis. Sometimes they have things written on a calendar, but the activity doesn't happen. I do think that it is extremely important for families to visit. Very few residents in Memory Care have visitors. I think they may treat my loved one better because they know my family is there everyday, at different times. I do think they should communicate with families more. They have recently raised the rent almost 10%. That is a lot. But, they have been painting and planting and making the building more inviting. I like the Memory Care Director and the caregivers. It is a very challenging job. The Memory Care Director, [name removed], is always smiling. The new Executive Director, [name removed], is trying to organize and make things more efficient and pleasurable. Overall, I would place my loved one here again, if the choice were for today.

My family and loved one had a great experience with the community. The staff treat the residents with respect and kindness. They are professional. Everyone is friendly. The community was always clean when we would visit our loved one. There were meals and activities available for the residents to engage with other residents for socialization. Overall, this is a community we would recommend to others.

This community was okay but it did not compare with another community that I was looking at. The tour was great and they were able to answer all of my questions.
We had a great tour with The Commons. The reason we decided against this facility was due to the inconvenient parking situation.
The type of are my loved one is in he does not have anyone to talk to being in memory care, the staff are friendly and nice, easy to get ahold of and talk to. I'm very pleased my loved one is here.

I'm very pleased. I think the staff are fantastic. They're just wonderful. They stay in good communication with me and send me pictures. When my loved one had some medical issues, they took action quickly and contacted us immediately. They just have a really good staff. My loved one loves the food. She says it's marvelous, and she can be pretty picky. I know her health has improved since she's been there. I think it's a great value.

We did not get much time to get a feel of what the facility was like just because our experience was so short. When we was here though the care they gave him was great. Even before we got him here, they did everything they could to make sure that he was comfortable. They were very helpful and it was a good experience for us. I would a recommend them to others looking.

The Commons has become family to us. The staff is more than helpful and so caring. My mother is feeling at home there more and more. Her physical needs are significant. Fam is very involved. The medical care she receives is more than adequate. We are very happy with The Commons.

An institution is only as good as the people who work there. The staff at The Commons is outstanding from top to bottom. Everyone is professional and courteous. They have created a "family" environment with the residents. The facility provides good food, entertainment, excursions, myriad activities. Very immaculate. Reasonably priced.

[Name removed] is Awesome! Really listened to my in-laws needs and the tour and room (may be too small) were excellent! We returned with my wife's parents and the staff and [name removed] were exceptionally hospitable (the welcome sign at the front and greeting by many staff members as well as Lunch on the outdoor patio was Excellent!!!)

This senior living option provides many amenities we are seeking for my mom, but I think 2 nurses handling 173 residents is not enough for that large a population. We are looking for an assisted living facility with a smaller residential population: something more personal and intimate for my mom, so she gets the individual attention she needs, at this point. [Name removed] was professional, but I found her energy a bit cold and disinterested once we ascertained that my mom had been outpriced on her monthly budget due to the care level she requires.

We strongly considered this for my mother. [Name removed] was wonderful. Our reason for not choosing it boiled down to the room layout we were looking at, the location - Ventura Blvd. in the front and the freeway in back - and the fact that they didn't have a quiet outdoor area. I wasn't aware of the outside noise inside the facility, but I just preferred a quieter location.

I liked the staff and activities here, but the busy Ventura Blvd location, hotel feel, and lack of outdoor space is disappointing

The staff take good care of mom. They are encouraging, attentive and they are open to making changes to keep her happy. They offer a lot of activities including a spelling bee. There are people from a church that come in on Wednesday and Sunday. The food is really good. The community is clean and they have a patio with a fountain. She has a nice room that feels like a small apartment with a full bath and a refrigerator. This community is a good value and I would recommend it.

I toured this community for my mother. It was a decent tour. The community looked pretty well maintained. The staff was kind and friendly. It just wasn't the place for my mother, but this is a nice community with kind people.

I have my mom living at this community. She enjoys her meals given, although she has a small appetite and don't have half-potions available. The staff are great and car for my mom very well. The staff also do a good job keep the facility clean. My mom likes to play bingo and go to social hour. I would recommend this community for the good benefits.
