Sterling Ridge

A well run facility with a very attentive and helpful staff. The food, though, isn't up to par with the overall operation. It is being remodeled and the upgrades are significant. We visited a half dozen facilities and the staff here made the difference for us.

Had to put my Mom in the Memory Care Section of Sterling Ridge as she had Alzheimers. Visited her once or twice a week. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Did not like the fact that visiting hours were only 8am to 5pm cuz I worked 7am to 4pm Monday thru Friday and it was a 45 minute drive from work to facility. Would have visited more often if I had till 8pm. Did not like the fact that she was only allowed to shower once a week and they had to assist. Before she left living with me, she was showering by herself twice a week with me checking on her. She was ok in there the first month, but was wanting us to take her home after that. She passed away 4 months after we put her in the facility. Administration and Nurse was always helpful and attentive. I do recommend this place but my husband was not happy with it. I was the one mainly dealing with staff. They also unexpectedly refunded to me 7 months worth of the $[removed] fee I had to pay to enroll her in the facility.

The staff at Sterling Ridge are very kind and helpful. They treat my mom with grace. The staff shows my mom patience and kindness as she moves through the stages of dementia.

Overall it was great, very helpful that she could get food after the meal times. I would live there and would absolutely recommend them to other families. I sent a friend to check it out for her Uncle, she thought it was great, but he did not want to move. Then he passed not long after that

[name removed] and the staff at Sterlingridge have gone above and beyond to help my mother and father in law. I could not have found a better fit for them. We toured several facilities and this one according to my mil felt the most like home.

They could improve on the cleanliness especially when it comes to our loved ones room and the smell of it

I like them because they cared and they took care of my dad. [community name removed] did not. [community name removed]did not - in fact somebody turned in my dad into adult family services because they were not treating him properly. They did some type of investigation, but I don't know what happened. We moved out and moved into Sterling Ridge. I wasn't gonna put up with that.

No TV available. Tour was minimal. Staff in dining room was wonderful. Other staff was pretty much unavailable. I enjoyed the open salad bar. The residents seemed to be very content in the most part.

Ster Ridge was so nice that while in memory care my mother-in-law thought she was in a resort. They played games with her. They gave her special attention and when the time came, hospice was right there. Although she only spent three weeks there, I feel like they made her very comfortable and happy. If you use memory care, be sure to confiscate all valuables. They don’t mean to, but sometimes the other residents will take things. We learned the hard way.

My mom has been a resident at Sterling for just shy of 3 years. From the day of move in to the passing of her partner they have gone above and beyond what I could have expected. She and her partner began in assisted and as he began to decline they accommodated her wishes to stay with him in memory care. The admin team, [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed]have been so incredible through what could have been a very rough process. The facility is clean, friendly and knowledgeable. You are greeted with a "Welcome Home" by [name removed] or [name removed]. It is a small close knit community that ensures a personal touch. My mom feels part of the community. I highly recommend Sterling to anyone that wants great food, a warm welcome and compassionate care for mom!

The staff is extremely nice and helpful. It is an older facility so it might look a little run down outside but they keep the inside very clean.

It was questionable how my mom fell at Sterling. I have very strong opinions about how awful it was. I have pictures of her fall that the hospice nurse gave me. It was way worse than they described and the nurse said the facility underreported her fall. When I called to find out what happened they avoided speaking to me. They tried to tell my dad all was well but he was very sick. He tested positive for Covid shortly after we dropped her off at Sterling. Only way we were to prove anything would be with autopsy. My dad decided to not pursue it and let her rest. So nothing happened. I would really urge people to not send their loved ones there. Ever. Avoid at all cost. Doctor from hospice told us that falls like that are severe for someone in her condition. That even if we were to do a surgical procedure to help her, it was doubtful she would survive it. Would've been worse. They're really good at selling the place. My doubt is mostly with the nighttime care providers and the communication between shifts. Sloppy and lazy. Obviously No one read or followed our specific instructions and used what we provided for my mother's care. Even tho the whole point of it was for respite from the hospice program. Since I was on the road working and my father had Covid and couldn't take her back, the best option we had was to keep her heavily sedated and in bed until we were able to pick her up. The shame, sadness and guilt I have for bringing my mother here will never heal.

My spouse and I were previously residents at Sterling Ridge and the experience and the facility were both great. However, the facility was too far away from where most of our activities, church and doctors are. We ended up moving to an apartment complex that is in a more ideal location for us. If we need to be in Assisted Living in the future, Sterling Ridge would definitely be on our list to go back to.

The staff stays in touch with us and doesn't mind When we call. They always call if there is a problem and are so polite to Mom. We appreciate them so much. I would say that if they are looking for a friendly staff who cares about their residents, this is the place to go.

It has been night and day for my husband. He has been definitely happier and enjoying his time there. Staff there are super friendly and helpful. He socializes with other residents and tells me about his days in positive regards.

I have recommended Sterling Ridge to others during the past year despite some minor ongoing issues there. Overall, I like the facility a lot but also recommend that people/guardians have complete oversight over the care of their loved ones. I'm very hands-on and will complain whenever things aren't up-to-par. They don't nickel and dime you like the other facilities we've encountered so I like Sterling Ridge the most of all the facilities we've encountered.

I picked this community because it's very friendly and the price was good. I would recommend to others.

All of it is 5. The Sterling Ridge community and their staff are the best I ever could have pleasure of dealing with. They really took care of the place well. Great food, friendly staff, clean place.

So far I would rate everything a 5. Out Mom has only been there since the [date removed] but prior to her arrival they were very helpful to myself and my sister. We loved the fact that she can start out as independent care and if she had to move to assisted living or memory care we would have to change facilities

I would recommend them. I think that they need to help those that are more incapacitated to know about them and be involved in them. And food, like any setting like this, is just more frozen tasting as opposed to being fresh to order. Not bad, but could be better.
