I’ve lived here for quite some time and I have never been happier. I love the restaurant trips and am glad the scenic drives are making a come back. The staff is very warm and welcoming, I always feel seen and heard. The chef makes a good cheeseburger.

I would love if they incorporate a physical fitness program where they brought in a physical fitness person twice a week. Everyone is friendly and nice except one waitress that my mom tangles with once in a while. They have a cleaning person clean my mom's room once a week. They also wash her sheets and towels for her and makes her bed each week with clean sheets. My mom is still independent so she doesn't require much care. This is the one area that my mom complains daily about the food. They tend to run out of the good food choices quickly so by the time she comes down to eat they are not edible. The vegetables tend to be mushy and have no taste. Sometimes the food choices are not edible. She will always eat dessert though. They need to offer more activities. Bring in more entertainment and get them out of the facility more also it would be nice if the could have shuttle service on Sundays so that she can find a church near by to attend. Her rent was just raised $[removed] a month and while this is her first rent hike I feel it is high based on the things she is offered.

This place is a holding cell, but maybe others are not much better. As one of the nicest staff members told me.."they don't get better." The staff is nice, but not much stimulation or anything - but the residents are pretty much "gone" and gradually getting worse.

I had to move here 4 years ago, and it was the best decision I made. The staff is so caring and supportive. The kitchen needs an overhaul, service is spotty sometimes. Food offered on the menu is often not available, and that’s frustrating. The Menu has changed, and less foods are offered. I like it here, overall. And I am looking forward to living here another 3 years.

The director does not communicate well and they are understaffed, especially in the evenings. The food in the brochure is not what is served. It's not gourmet by any means. They run out of food that's on the menu all the time. They have activities but lately the activity will say "self ran". They need to encourage residents to be active and do more hands on activities to facilitate relationships inside the facility so they are not lonely. My loved one is very lonely there. She said nobody participates in anything.

Our menu is designed by dieticians who make sure that the food meets nutrition standards for seniors. We will talk with our Chef about the menu items but please reach out and talk directly with our Chef, who is open to feedback and has monthly meetings with residents. We will also share your feelings regarding activities with our Activities Director.
They took great care of her while she was alive and called Hospice to help take care of her but the administrative aspect regarding billing and follow up after she passed was poor. She was only there for 2 months before she passed.

My mother hates the place and it has gone downhill in management, food, care. I have reported them to the state. Would not recommend Pacifica to anyone. Management is awful!

August 2, 2024Our policy is to respond to all feedback, even if may not entirely agree. We have many residents whose family members are satisfied with the long-term management team in this community. Though we realize it is not possible to please everyone all of the time, we strive to offer a healthy and supportive environment with quality care. This reviewer may have been prompted over an incident when one of our six laundry rooms was not in operation for less than one week. We understand the frustration and apologize for the inconvenience.
Pacifica Senior Living has great staff members but there is just not enough of them. The meals in general are ok, but being able to order a meal that is not on that day's menu is good. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

Not very consistent staff and horrible communication of different people who interstate With residents. The medical staff is better. They need to improve on the food quality. Quality. Seemed like Costco Boxed food instead of home cooking.

Pacifica was the best facility I visited and the staff was very welcoming. They seemed to really care about senior's. Pacifica exceeded our expectations in all the above areas. I would definitely recommend them in the future.

It's clean , very close to San Martin Hospital (next door). Very friendly staff and my father feels happy there .Why I picked that facility ? I work in physical therapy and did home health in that facility and I liked what I saw! Chairs and benches every 150 -175 ft , railings on both sides of all walkway corridor , NO CARPET , very well lighted throughout, a waterfall entryway, all the amenities a senior will need. The facility looks like a resort atmosphere. The prices are very comparable for the services . The facility set up is perfect ( eating area is located in the middle ) and everyone's rooms are wrapped around it -(very well planned ) all the rooms have shutters and NO CARPET. The food is good and lots to offer off the main menu options . Maintenance problems get addressed quickly .

My ratings of 4 were influenced mainly by shortages of staff, which is chronic across the industry. The med techs seem to truly care about the residents. Service in the dining room is often hampered by staff shortages or supply chain issues, but they do the best that they can to accommodate any special requests. Overall, we are pleased with our experiences at Pacifica Senior Living San Martin.

November 20, 2023We are glad that you are pleased with your overall experience at our community. We appreciate your concern about staffing, however we are staffed according to licensing standards and currently have the correct ratio of staff to residents.
I like the location. The staff is nice but communication could be better. They need to improve on their staffing at night. Better response time when the button is pushed for your care taker. I think there needs to be a common area on the first floor with a TV so that the residents can get together and watch shows, sports. The activity director needs to be around after dinner as well.

First, we want you to know that our staffing is based on our licensing requirements, and we are currently staffed at the correct ratio between residents and staff. You may not have noticed but there is a room in the back of the building with a TV and couches where residents absolutely congregate. We also have a TV in the pub at the front of the building. This is where most of our activities take place.
What we like the most about the Pacifica Senior Living community is the staff members. The staff team there are friendly and responsive. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families

We would like to respond directly to your comments but we are restricted by HIPPA rules (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) about discussing the specific care of any resident, especially on an online review response. We wish your family peace at this time.
Mom complains all the time about quality of care, place is under staffed. Cause delays for shower assistance, if not skipped. Cost keeps go up. They find more things to bill her for monthly. She likes to keep track of her expenses, finds it frustrating. We would absolutely recommend Pacifica Senior Living community to other families

Overall it's a really good facility. The staff are really friendly, and they're pretty good about calling you when something happens. I don't' have any problems with it except for the price.

My loved one is no longer at the community. Everybody was always very friendly, and listened. They were not as attentive. They advertised a lot of activities, but my loved one did not engage in any of them. The value for the money was not good. They did not always clean up well. Overall, my experience was not good.

March 7, 2023While it is challenging to address your specific issues without knowing the people involved, we can state that there are continual daily activities in our memory care neighborhood where every resident is included unless they or their family specifically refuse to be involved. We have housekeeping services throughout the week Monday through Friday and our housekeeping staff is asked to keep areas clean and fresh-smelling. If you have specific issues with any memory care staff, we ask that you contact the executive director directly, so that she can address your concerns.
