Solstice Senior Living at Fenton

Solstice Senior Living at Fenton is a great place. The building is clean, they have friendly staff and good food.

Employees are very friendly. Always want to do their best. They can use another maintenance man. Very hard for one person to do everything. And sometimes you have to wait a long time for a repair. Food is just ok. They can probably use another casual type cafe to just get a sandwich or slice of pizza. or salad if you don't want a whole dinner. And set a time frame to order and eat so resident can be more flexible and not just have a "meal time". But all the employees and administration are very helpful. I have a very crabby and negative future mother in law and employees and administration are VERY sweet to her and understanding. Always trying to "make it right" for her.

They often run out or do not have the foods on the menu as listed. Many food items are just heated up - not cooked on property. The manager and leadership are very good at Solstice Senior Living at Fenton.

It took my mom and dad a while to get comfortable with moving from their home to a senior living facility. But once they recognized that it was the right move, they've had nothing but good things to say about Solstice.

[name removed] is the one who runs this place. It is phenomenal. It has been wonderful for my mom. Their apartment sizes are perfect for a little old lady like my mom. As a matter of fact, they have used my mom's apartment for a model apartment. My mom is 90 and doing wonderfully there. Kitchen living room bedroom bathroom all what is needed for a little old lady to live and you can eat off the floor. Housecleaning is wonderful plus my mom is a house cleaner so it's always clean in there. No wonder their place is full all the time. Who would not want to live there

I needed to find something quick for my loved one. This facility was everything we were looking for. Transportation, Activities, and meals. Staff were very thorough and very helpful with the move in process. Communication and visiting with family is easy and just come and go. We did move in during renovations which was loud and busy, but that wasn't a problem. I would recommend the facility.

We would rate a 5 in all categories for Solstice Senior Living. Their staff members are accessible, friendly and helpful. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families

They need to improve on their cleaning, or offer to reimburse/comp residents to hire their own, Really need to improve their menus to be lower sodium and fat. Example- corn dog and tater tots or fries- how is this healthy?? Cheap and easy, sure, but definitely not healthy.

Soltice ad Fenton was a great place to live. Fantastic staff! They quickly learn your name and try to accommodate all your needs. The only reason I left because my needs became greater than independent living. The Activities Director is awesome, She has a wide variety of different types of activities from card games to nail painting to events outside. She’s kind and caring, willing to do what she can to solve any problem.

They have been so good to her and other people there! They go above and beyond they're calling! They are so sweet they will do for you whatever you want and they are so good about it. Their staff is great. Always smiling, willing to help. Facility; every time I go to elevator, someone is going to physical therapy to the right. Their dining room is elegant! Their food is to die for IF you go down to cafeteria. If you ask to have food brought up to the room, it's not so good because it's in a Styrofoam container, whatever. My mom is a foodie, she's 89, mobile, and she said that they had the best food that she's had in a long, long time even in a restaurant. My mom has done such a good job, putting her little groovy apartment together, they have asked if they could "do show"her room to newcomers, which really really boosts my mom's morale and makes her feel so good. But it really is beautiful in there.

It is fine. The food is going downhill. They offer cleaning once a week, a laundry facility, and the activities are either card games and sometimes bingo. They can improve byy adding better food choices. Right now it seems they are scrapping the dinners together. Most people there have false teeth and the food it hard to chew.

My grandma loves it here! She was at home alone during the COVID Pandemic. We moved her in Solstice Senior Living and she has flourished. She loves the food and the activities.

My in-laws moved in from out of town in 2020 and the community was great to them. We were very pleased.

My husband and I moved in and we love it here. The foods good and the people are friendly. We would recommend this community to anyone looking for a great place to live.

It's a very nice place over all. Great food and the Solstice staff are very nice, open, and genuinely seem to care. The food is great with a lot of variety the kitchen staff could he a bit more friendly but they're efficient.

The community has some issues. I think they are upfront and friendly; however, they are short staffed and not as cleans as the community could be. The maintenance is lacking overall. The staff act like they are concerned; however, you have to follow up several times before a resolution can be made. The food isn't good in the quality and taste. There are activities available for the residents to participate in, if they choose. They will give the residents Solstice Dollars to spend at a store for participating.

My loved one really likes the community. They have a lot of good activities here. The staff are good to work with. My loved one doesn't like the food sometimes. The food taste and variety could be improved for the residents. Some of the activities available include shopping, exercise classes, movies, and more for the residents to chose from.

I am not really happy with the activities that they have to offer at this community. They have activities like board games, and a pastor that comes in to speak with the residents. The meals are great but I just have certain dietary restrictions that makes it hard for me from time to time. This community is efficient, not luxurious but it is efficient. Solstice also does not have a good transportation system for doctor appointments and so forth. My previous community wouldn't hesitate to take us places; no matter the cost, distance or time of day. They would even wait outside until we were finished. At this age, we do have medical issues that need solving sometime. These things just sort of pop up, they aren't always planned out. I understand that each organization is different, but that is still something that is very important to me. It would be more convenient to be transported directly through my community, rather than having to call on an outside friend or family member.

The place is bright and cheery! The apartments are spacious and are reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The residents are also friendly and want to get to know you. It’s not assisted living but they have an outside service which is here 24/7 that perform daily living tasks if you can’t do them. They encourage participation in a variety of activities by rewarding you with a Solstice dollar every time you participate in one. These can be spent at the company store. They have professionals come such as a beautician, a podiatrist, and live entertainers for Happy Hour. There are outings, trips to Walmart and Target. They will transport you to doctor appointments on certain days. I am sure I am leaving out something but In case you can’t tell, I am really happy here!
