I would first like to start they made many aesthetically pleasing changes to the place when we first moved in. The staff was great in the beginning; however, there were a lot of turnover with staff that occurred a few months afl not tolerate mediocre for my mom. I ended up leaving because it was too far from mter my mom was there that had the place in turmoil. If you were not visiting often, I'm not sure how the care would have been. I was there constantly ensuring everyone does there job. After a few months trying to find the right staff, they turned everything around and we back to normal again. The staff was great and they saw that I was a constant presence who wily house and I wasn't able to get over there as often as I desired. But anyone who lives in that area I would highly recommend this place. It has a high turnover but I'm unsure of how it is now. These type places always have a high rate of turnover. My mom's room was just the right size for her and the food was decent.... Read more

The staff response time to resident call button isn't even close to acceptable and the response time we were told before we signed papers, in my opinion, was a straight up lie to get us to sign. I've brought this up more than once and the folks in charge basically said I was being unrealistic expecting the response time I was told at the beginning because during meal times those people are busy in the dining room. I've heard from the resident liaison/advocate that some residents have resorted to calling 911 because there circumstances were dire. My mother has since moved into the memory care part of the building and attention there is acceptable. I'm giving the meals and dining a five although the meals look very skimpy. My mother hasn't complained but she wouldn't remember to complain. For the activities, this one area I feel they do well. I think it's expensive but it's comparable to other local places. I just think for that price all the answers should be five.

There was a full management overhaul and much of the staff was completely replaced right after she moved in. I don't know if that happens often, but it was concerning that there was that much change at once. So far things seem to be going well. Honestly, the food is the one thing she complains about. It's bland and not enough variety. I haven't had it first hand so I can't really make a judgement.

Our loved one does not participate in the activities that are offered. However, what we like the most about Sodalis Tampa are the staff. The workers are super friendly

We seldom hear from doctor or nurse. We've seen little improvement. The activities are not as important. By the way, there's been no improvement, yet the monthly bill has increased fee removed] in a year! It's close by us. I was hoping that doctor and nurse would play a greater role in helping [name removed] improve. She still is terribly depressed, cries about everything, and doesn't care about her hygiene. She still is obsessed with food. The staff there seems only interested in maintaining status quo.

The meals have been poor so that is an area they could improve on. However, the staff members have been very friendly to my parents. Thanks.

Their staff is constantly changing… Management has been through at least four different turnovers since we've been there. Response times are long at night and cleaning has gone way downhill. Hallways used to be clean and now they smell like urine.

Clean and friendly staff, but there's been a big turn over with staff. I like the large rooms & big bathrooms.

Like so many places these days, it is hard to retain quality staff and so there is a revolving door. Not unique to Sodalis. The food is not consistent at all. Some days it is quite terrible and other days it is decent...rarely is it great. They need more choices for fresh fruits, veggies and lean meats

Yes, I will be happy to. We had a fantastic experience with the Sodalis Tampa community. I did want to share that my mother-in-law passed away [date removed] night, but Sodalis has remained wonderful. We were very happy with the care that our mother received. The residents and staff were very friendly!

My Place for Mom advocate, [name removed] (awesome )- sent me options per my selected criteria + budget), of which I visited. I specifically did not want a large setting but more of a close knit family environment. I have already raved about the kind attention my Mom has been getting - and the constant f/u info I receive-- not to mention the welcoming family activities. I hold the ladies /Director/ Sales / Activity Director + Head Nurse in high regard - they have put me at ease, comunicable and attentive.

My family and loved one have had an average experience with the community. The staff and residents have been friendly. The food and service in the dining room has been very poor and not able to keep staff. We would suggest you ask lots of questions about meals, care available, and try a meal during the tour.

The nursing staff are competent & friendly. They are responsive to needs & concerns. The activity staff listen to suggestions & incorporate these into the planned activities. The administrative staff are open to suggestions & handle concerns quickly.

The reason we give the activities 3 stars is because for a blind person and in the wheelchair there is not much to do. With the value it beats a lot o the places in the area. My mom's loves her bacon in the morning! It smells fresh and looks clean every time we walk in. Conveniently located for my family. The friendly staff always has a smile

We placed our mother at Sodalis-Tampa in [date removed]. Overall, we have been pleased with our experience at Sodalis. We choose Sodalis based on a number of factors, including budget, location, cleanliness and overall feel of the facility during our tour (the staff seemed helpful and attentive). We had some issues with the medical provider assigned to this facility and have subsequently changed providers (and are much happier). Our mother is doing well as she has family members that visit her regularly at Sodalis and family members that advocate for her needs there and with her medical providers. Without that oversight, her experience would be very different.

All of the staff is caring and attentive to the residents. They have a great group of people. You can tell that the upper management and all departments support one another. It is incredible the amount of time and effort that the staff put in for the residents. It gives me comfort that mom is respected and treated as a person. She enjoys her new life at Sodalis. I thank the staff dearly for all of their efforts.

A Place for Mom has scored Sodalis Tampa 9.3 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
