Senior Star at Villa Ventura

I picked this community because it's in a good area. I would recommend to others.It was a very good experience.

They are the best people.I like the people I like the place. Love it.

Everyone has been friendly. We picked this community because my friend liked the facility, the cost was better than other places, and he was impressed by the set-up. They have made him feel comfortable. They quickly resolved issues with maintenance. I would recommend it to other families.

I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. I shopped a lot of places and this is a lovely community, and we feel very good with the choice we made. We feel confident that my loved one is getting the care they need, they do activities, and there is a new Executive Chef here. The staff try to make my loved one and other residents feel comfortable.

We chose Senior Star at Villa Ventura because my mom liked the size of the community, some we looked at were too large. There are less than 200 here. It also has a walking trail and is not in a busy congested area, it is very quiet and backs up to a golf course. She is satisfied with her apartment size and is perfectly comfortable. I would recommend to others looking.

I would completely throw out the current manner in which this corporate owned facility is run. I would lower the prices, I would make the cafeteria like a restaurant and instead of specific meal times and little choice I would allow people to decide when and what they wanted to eat. I would start treating the people that live here like adults instead of like people who are just warehoused und soon to die. I would organize a chorus that sang a variety of rock tunes. I would set up a singles day and encourage people to mingle not stay in their apartments, I would set up a gym with actual weights and exercise classes not the garbage they offer. I would change the heating and cooling modes to actually being adjustable in each unit. Mostly I would treat the residents as being in a community inspiring physical, spiritual Renaissance not in a preparation for death. Stimulation not depression

This is the worst place I have ever lived. The food they serve is horrible. I am unable to eat it. They shut off the air and the apartment is much too hot. I will not pay full rent and am being asked to leave which is a relief/

So far I'm very satisfied with Villa Ventura!!! I'm extremely pleased with [name removed] who set the expectation for the facility!!! She went over and beyond to accommodate getting my mom situated with limited notice. Most of the Interim Home Health staff are great as well. I'm grateful that the facility took appropriate action to keep the residences safe during this pandemic!!! I would recommend Villa Ventura!!!

[Name removed] gave me a second visit on the 15th. She is so helpful-aided me in understanding the benefits of my long-term care policy. Unfortunately,they do not have a memory care program. A great place for assisted living though.

I really liked this place. It is in the running for me, but maybe the drawback for mom is community laundry.

Representative by staff on senior at villa ventura. Staff very professional. Healthy snacks, delicious and appropriate. If I was ready to go into independent living, I would want to know more.

I visited Villa Ventura for an "Aging Well" seminar. They showed a group of us many benefits of living there without making a sales presentation. Meeting 9 staff members they all seemed happy with their jobs and their clients. I enjoyed the "laugh yoga" and the "gold zumba" activities.

While looking into various options for my mother we toured this property. The people there are lovely. They had a buffet type lunch, but I would think that it might be difficult for seniors getting their own plates and stuff. However, the food was good and the staffs are great. What we didn’t like so much is how the other residents’ behavior. They seemed to be always starring, never talking, and never waving. They didn’t really tell us if they themselves liked living there. What my mother and I look for is for more socialization between the people living there.

I recently visited Villa Ventura and was very impressed with the staff, food and atmosphere. Would recommend them to anyone!!!

What a fabulous group to work with! I have been very pleased with the care my loved one has received. He is happy, clean, cared for and stimulated with relevant activities and outings. The food is always a topic with him as well. He and my father in law eat there a lot and there is NEVER ever a complaint! I hear about that constantly! Thank you Villa Ventura family for taking such great care of my loved one and my father in law that is really just a visitor but eats your food too. :)

The service is excellent and I love the activities.

We have toured, as well as visited Villa Ventura on numerous occasions, usually for special events. We have always been warmly welcomed, experienced a well organized and enoyable activity with festive decorations and delicious party themed food! The residents we have visited with at these events express pleasure with their living environment and seem to have fun at the events as well as with all the employees!

My mother has lived at Villa Ventura for almost two years. I can't say enough about how caring and friendly the staff is. The fare in the dining room is very good and has a lot of variation. Activities, including performers, bingo and happy hour, keep her engaged with other residents. It feels like a real home when I arrive in the evening and find some residents playing cards, others in the pub watching a game and another playing the piano.
