The staff really cared about my mom. She died there in October, and they were all very kind. The hospice they arranged for us was great. The staff were (mostly) all extremely caring and took good care of her. They genuinely got to know her and were sad when she died. As far as everything else, it's all secondary to that.... Read more

I like some of the staff, and one of the nurses was actually amazing. [name removed]. My mom had two falls while there. Both resulting in broken bones. One fairly debilitating. Even though it is an "assisted living" it is a memory unit my mom was on and I feel as though that was forgotten. I believe prosper believed the idea they are in a confined space, then they are safe. That isn't always the case. They do not have enough staff to provide the level of care some of the people need. I feel like their residents got lost in the mix and there isn't enough one on one care. It was supposed to be a place where my mom could live out her life, and when she could no longer do things by herself they could no longer provide her care or "keep her safe" and I believe that, the do could not keep her safe. She is now safe where she is currently at. There were so many things that I was not happy with there. If someone didn't come out of their room, no one would check on them unless they didn't show up for a meal. The activities were lacking and there was a lot of fighting among the residents. The concept is great, and my mom wasn't ready for full on skilled care, I liked the idea of her remaining some independence. That part I liked, but the lack of follow through.

At Prosper at Wickliffe, there is not enough staff for more than the first floor in memory care. Most caregivers that were assigned to the memory care unit seemed out of the area or not attentive. My mother was given a room on the second floor which was not staffed, left alone, experienced many falls then sent to hospitals. We requested not to use Lake West Hospital ever, yet she was sent there where poor care was given. Few activities were provided, which were noticed by family visits at random times. My loved one rarely if ever, received a shower. If not for a few dedicated staff, there wouldn't have been any care be provided. I would not recommend this facility for memory care.

Tapestry Wickliffe Senior Living fails to offer the care it promises. Memory care residents are not adequately attended to, with very complacent staff, and an irate director who is not eager to resolve issues. While the facility is beautifully designed, one cannot expect that a senior is in good hands. Staff is lazy and have bad attitudes. Senior's private rooms are not kept clean. Senior's personal belongings have been stolen and mixed in with other's incidentals/laundry I would not recommend this facility if you have high expectations.

April 10, 2024We do take every review and determine what we can gain from it, how do we make our community better for both residents and their families. If you feel that your concerns have not been addressed, please reach out to the regional support. However, know that details related to our residents can only be discussed with the Power of Attorney for that resident.

March 14, 2024Sincere condolences on the loss of your mother. May the memories of her bring comfort and warmth to your heart. Thank you for your supportive review. We are pleased that you had a good experience during a difficult season. We are also so glad that you worked with a hospice service. Those services are not only incredibly helpful to the individual but also to the family.
Some staff are a little cranky. Makes her feel bad she can't do for herself. Some are lovely. Needs more activities. But it's very nice'. Our families experience is mostly positive. They could use a few improvements. Better meals. But we are happy and the facility is so close we can visit often

December 12, 2023Thank you for your review and comments. We are very pleased that you are having a positive experience with Tapestry Wickliffe. We strive to make it an environment that our residents can thrive in and enjoy life. It is rare that complaints are received for our dining services program. We would encourage you to speak with the Dining Services Director so that we can accommodate any special requests for menu items. Food is very important. Please let us know how we may serve your loved one in a more satisfactory manner. Again, thank you for your review. It helps us to continually make improvements to our programs.
Good value for cost. I would consider for myself or anyone not under hospice care. I picked this community because of the cost, quick and very pleasant admission staff.

October 5, 2023Thank you for the positive review. We are very pleased to have met your need in a timely, budget friendly, and professional way. Please keep the communication open in order for us to continue meeting the needs of you and your loved one. Thanks again for the comments.
My mother was assaulted by a caregiver at Tapestry. The police were called, etc. We were not notified and my mother was not sent to the hospital until 3 hours after it happened. The caregiver turnover is frequent. There are 0 activities planned in memory care. They either watch TV all day or maybe do a coloring book. The only activities take place in the assisted living area, not in the locked memory care unit.

Response from Prosper at Wickliffe
July 25, 2023The context for this very unfortunate event is missing. All state regulations and company policy and protocol were followed during this incident. The state and police investigations showed that this was handled appropriately. We wish this former resident and her family well and hope that she and they are comfortable with her new more appropriate setting. It is always our goal to meet the needs of our residents in the safest and most appropriate way. Their safety and quality of life is our number one priority.
Everyone is so friendly and has taken the time to really get to know my mother at Tapestry Senior Living Wickliffe. This facility is always clean. I would recommend this facility to family and friends!

May 17, 2023Thank you for your kind words and review. It is wonderful that you feel the support and nurturing care that we strive to provide. We hope that your mom feels that also!
I think this facility is very nice. The staff are all very nice. The front desk staff really sticks out to me here, they're phenomenal. I've always appreciated everything that they have done. I think if my loved one was more involved here, it would be better for her. But that's her choice. Communication with the family is good. My loved one was in the hospital recently and the staff here was very good about working with us and did really well with that. Housekeeping is once a week and leaves a lot to be desired. Thoroughness isn't the best. The shower schedule isn't always consistent and could improve. A lot of times, my loved one has to search out for help with showers. The food is ok, but the quality and variety could improve. Overall, I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

February 10, 2023Thank you for taking the time to leave a positive review. We stive to create a warm, caring, and inviting environment. It is wonderful that you are experiencing just that. The gift of life is the most precious gift we are given. And because it lasts our entire lifetime, it is truly a blessing to be able to live in dignity, safety, and belonging everyday we are here. Tapestry has been a Godsend for our family as it has been able to provide the increasing levels and types of care that our Mom has needed over the years. The relationships that the staff work to create and maintain with her and us on her journey has been well more that we could ever “ask or imagine”. Their proactive and relational style has made all the difference in the world to our family, again, this morning as they brought us into the loop on her current need to be taken to the hospital, and making sure, especially given we are across the country, to give us the comfort that her best interest is paramount and they are rising to the occasion as they have always done. She deserves the best care and Tapestry continues to exceed all expectation! Thank you, Tapestry!

February 3, 2023Thank you for your very positive review. It is wonderful to hear that you are satisfied and happy with the care your mother receives and communication that you receive. It is our pleasure to be an extension of your family.
This community was okay it was jut not the right level of independence versus assistance for my loved one and what she needed at the time. It was a good tour.
We moved my Mom here because of how it looked and smelled and what it had to offer. We made sure that they accept Medicaid waver because she only had enough money for the first year. We didn’t expect her to die within the first month. Such an incompetent staff! Not all, but 90% and the biggest incompetence came from the top down. I have so much to say, but this site only allows 1000 characters so if you would like to know more, feel free to contact me at [email removed]

We chose Tapestry senior living because it was closer for me to be able to get to him if I needed to. Also, the pricing was the most reasonable compared to others we looked into. They have been very good with communication and updates since we are not allowed inside. I would recommend them to other families looking.

Be extremely cautious with this facility. Do your due diligence! Misleading and aggressive management. Misrepresentation of facility and staff capability. The assisted living section is OK, but the memory care unit is terrible. Install a nanny cam. We had one and have the abuse recorded. When I posted this review on facebook they removed the ability to leave any type of review. They also contacted me and said they would waive the money they say I owe them (I don’t owe them anything) to remove my review. Basically they would pay me to remove the complaint. Feel free to contact me at [removed] if you want additional information. There is a larger story here just didn’t want to go on and on. We will be filing a complaint with the State of Ohio. I feel no one should have to go thru this when you are desperately attempting to find care.

Mom has received the care she needs, even during the current crisis She is able to have her little dog visit, while still keeping her safe. The staff is kind and caring. They ensure her needs are met ever day. Even in this covid craziness, they are working hard to ensure she is not isolated when human visitors are not permitted. Kudos to the health care workers for their care ans support while staying upbeat and caring.

If you want a studio apartment, this place is lovely. However, the single bedroom apartment is simply 2 studios combined; it even has 2 bathrooms. The closets, except in the memory care unit, are high and the heat and air conditioning are still provided by through-the-wall units. (This is a converted hotel). Otherwise, it is beautiful and the staff wonderful.
