Plum Landing Retirement Community

I have lived in this community for 5 years. I find the staff and maintenance employees are prompt and considerate. Repairs are made in a timely manner. I especially like the morning and evening intercom call to check on wellness. The kitchen staff is exceptional and our food is very good. The staff has made a special effort since the COVID-19 virus and kept up a thorough cleaning program. The budling is within easy reach of parklands and river walk.

The staff is outstanding. Most all the people are very friendly and helpful. I loved the fact that I face the river - as a child growing up we had a boat and we would go to some of the islands and picnic on the Mississippi River. When I got married (52 yrs) my husband was from a farm area and I missed being on the river - so this is like coming home for me.

Plum Landing is truly home. Each time I return from a trip, family visit, or hospitals. It is with a sigh of relief and pleasure. I am here where I belong. We residents could not be better taken care of and cherished by the staff and the friends we have here. Our meals are excellent, well prepared, and served. All the rooms, common dining, games, and exercise room. Plum Landing is the place to be one's elder ages.

I have lived at Plum Landing for 13 years. The staff are friendly and courteous. When help is needed, response is prompt. The dining is inviting with white tablecloths the food is very good and served by a waitress. Although there are many activities, there is no pressure to participate. I like being independent and private. I feel safe here.

A great place to live. The staff and people here are so helpful and especially kind. Plus the food is the best. Many activities and trips. Done things for everyone.

The location could not be nicer as we not only have the beautiful park but also the historic for Fox River to enjoy. Plum Landing is known as the place to come for delicious and professionally prepared goods. When you walk around Plum Landing, it is a very friendly, beautiful, and immaculate place. The staff that takes care of us could not do a better job. They treat us like we are their family. Our manager has done a tremendous job to keep us from COVID; a couple months ago a staff member came down with it and was immediately taken away from her care elsewhere. It is like your old neighborhood under one roof.

Great staff, facilities, food, and view. They have handled the pandemic guidelines wonderfully and safely. The staff is also helpful, friendly, and accomodating.

Plum Landing is the best-kept secret in Aurora! When you enter Plum Landing you are greeted by staff who are there to answer your needs and questions. The office are also located there and the doors are always open. Plum Landing is also known in the area for its excellent food served by our wait staff and prepared by our chef. It is small by today's standards but that is one of its best features as it enables us to get to know one another and no area is too far from your room. Every window opens on a view of other the Fox River on the green area of McHugh Park and every unit had a patio or balcony. My husband and I have lived at Plum Landing for 7 years and look forward to many more years here.

Excellent employees. Friendly, respectful. Food is excellent and young services are friendly. Everyone appears to love their jobs. Grounds and buildings are well kept. Programs are varied and fun. I would have "showed" off my apartment to friends.

When my wife and I first looked at Plum Landing, she asked a resident "name one thing you don't like about this place." Their answer was "I can't think of one." After living here for over a year and a half, that's how we feel also. The staff, at all levels, from the director, front desk, office personnel, maintenance people, chefs, and servers are all highly regarded. They are caring, loving, considerate, and professional in all they do. Food is known for its quality and taste. The ribs are spoken of even outside of the community. Grounds reflects the pride of a well-maintained estate. Recreation is provided by able staff, including games, exercise, shopping trips, and more. It's a community you want to be apart of.

Plum Landing offers fine apartment facilities with a beautiful view of the Fox Rover from our balconies and meals to that choice are over. We eat in a fine dining room. The staff is friendly and keeps the building and apartments well maintained. I would not want to move I consider Plum Landing my home.

As a resident at Plum Landing, I can say it is a great place to live. The rooms are clean and have sufficient room but most of all, it is the people living here together. I would say it is top-notch!
