I would give them a 5 on everything. I was assisting an elderly woman (no relation) who was abandoned by her adult son. I spoke with the lady a couple weeks after she had moved in and she seemed very happy / had no complaints. Told me the food was good and they waited on them at mealtime so she enjoyed that. I liked the staff there very much and may end up needing their assistance with my own Aunt in the future. The location was good (close to the river & downtown) and they had excursion to the theater which I know my aunt would love.... Read more

Fix Knoll Villages is such a great place. It is so safe and I have never seen such a nice group of people so willing to welcome new comers. I have to admit it’s a bit expensive. Only two complaints…The windows need to replaced or cleaned in the particular apartment my mother is in and the window blinds need to be replaced because they are extremely dirty and bent. They are very old metal mini blinds.

Staff is very helpful. My mom does not like elevators. Staff members escorted her to other buildings as needed. I would like to see a bit more variety in the activities offered.

Since my mother-in-law lives in independent living, staff isn't seen often. She does see them at meals. Says they are very nice. There is a cleaning woman that comes, and she too is a wonderful lady. Does a good job.

My loved one is a resident at Ascension Living Fox Knoll Village and overall the experience at this facility has been very good. All of the staff have been friendly and helpful. The cleanliness and care services are great. The food and activities are good. At this time, I have no concerns with this facility or my loved one's care. I would recommend Ascension Living Fox Knoll Village to other families.

We cannot comment on the meals and dining because our mother-in-law wouldn't leave the room to dine with others. For the activities she also refused to participate in any that were offered. Based on the experience we have had so far with Ascension Living, we would recommend this community to other families.

I toured Ascension Living Fox Knoll Village during my search for Independent Living. This facility and my tour were okay. However, I decided to continue on with my search.
We chose Ascension Living Fox Knoll Village because of the affordability as well as the business manager [name removed] was phenomenal. It is not as well lit in the hallways and the carpeting could be updated. The apartment sizes are really big and spacious. I would recommend this facility to others looking.

I would tell others that the staff are very friendly, capable, and attentive to any resident's needs. The community is very clean with no smell or odor. The food is enjoyed by my loved one. The activities are planned and are nice for the residents. Church services, bingo, games, movies, gathering space, celebrations, and more are some of the activities offered. This is a good place for a loved one to go to.

Too many floors for my loved one.
What stands out to me the most is the staff is very responsive and empathetic. We're very happy with the apartment my loved one is in. It has everything he needs, and it's comfortable. The other residents I've encountered have been very friendly. And the food is good. It's just really well prepared. The meat is done but not dry. The mashed potatoes taste like mashed potatoes. It's high quality and served hot.

The staff members would be higher than 5 stars, they are super friendly. The meals and dining service is good but not great. The dining area where the food is served and the staff serving the food is exceeding all expectations, but the food quality itself is just not very excited. Our loved one does not allows participate in the activities, but from the activities they have on their calendar look great.

Fox Knoll is a nice place to live. The staff and residents are very friendly. Some of the activities prior to COVID included bingo, left right center, other games, Wii bowling, bag toss, and a few more for residents to choose from.

The place is nice but it won’t work for my mom because of all the walking needed to go from one building to the other for social gatherings. It will overwhelm my mom to big in such a big place.

Models shown were nice, but not what we are looking for. We don't need meals & housekeeping. Cost is more than we want to spend. They now charge an additional $250/mo for 2nd person in unit.

While I was touring this facility, they were remodeling the building. They had an Alzheimer’s unit looked really nice and was locked down so my Father couldn’t wander. The facility itself looked really nice and it was clean considering that it was being remodeled. The only thing I didn’t like was that it felt more like a hospital and it was farther away from me so I would have to commute. I would recommend this facility to other families.

A Place for Mom has scored Ascension Living Fox Knoll Village 8.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
