Plum Creek Supportive Living is one of the only affordable care facilities near me. The staff is always friendly and engaging with the residents. The food gives a sense of home as it is consistently warm and cozy. The facility got redone not too long ago and the interior is absolutely beautiful. They host events and activities multiple times a day, everyday. It is a great place to make friends, get good care, while also feeling stable. Of course, as I mentioned, the price point is a major plus. This is not a situation of "you get what you pay for". The amenities and level of care exceed the price tag and Rolling Meadows is extremely lucky to have a facility like this in their city.

The Plum Creek tour experience was awful. The facility is very old and run down. The building was an old hotel and the rooms look just like old run down hotel rooms. We were not impressed.
Some people are not friendly to the elders, and they need to improve on that. On the other hand, the residents are friendly which is a plus. They have been slow with getting repairs done. There is aot of transition with CNA's, and they need to improve. I would like to give kudo's to, the nursing staff, director, activities and front desk staff.

nice, clean facility
Such a clean place. So many activities. Great selection of food. Staff was so welcoming.
Plum Creek is amazing. The staff goes out of their way to provide us with not just what we need but what we want! We love them all! I would recommend this place to anyone!
Plum Creek is a great option for people who have limited income. The staff is friendly and warm and willing to help. If your loved one is a foodie, they will love it here. The food is delicious!

I am so glad that my mom moved here. She is so happy with her new friends, the activities, the food, everything!! Everyone is friendly and very helpful. I was worried that she would have no place to go with her low income and had never heard of Supportive Living. I'm so glad that I found out there was a place in the suburbs near me that helps low-income seniors maintain a great quality if life. Thanks to everyone at Plum Creek!

I work in the senior living space...this facility is very affordable and nice. They just redecorated the lobby and front cafe area and it's lovely. The food is amazing for a senior living facilty! Since COVID restrictions have been lifted the activities are ramping up and the residents are having fun playing bingo, baggo, Wii bowling, crafts etc. If your budget is limited this is a GREAT option for a semi-independent senior.

My grandpa has lived at Plum Creek Supportive Living for a little over a year now and we love having him there. All the staff members are so friendly and help with whatever my dad and other residents need. They have plenty of activities that my grandpa can participate in and he has made so many friends there. Our family knows he is safe and well taken care of which has taken that stress off our shoulders. We would highly recommend Plum Creek to anyone looking for a place for themselves or their loved ones.

They Deny the residents the right to choose to come an go out of their apt. They advise staff and family the residents can't leave their apt., but just spoke to [name removed] and [name removed] a week ago who advised they prefer the residents don't they, but they can. Talked to [name removed]the nurse on Saturday of also advised our grandmother could not leave her apt., again not true. The administrator is gone before 2pm everyday and has a lot of family emergency's so don't bother trying to get a hold of her. The only good thing about the facility is my grandmother's apt., other than that the facility is run down, short staffed, poor food and the nurses are unfriendly or helpful. For the money they charge take your loved one elsewhere.

This is a nice, clean and safe environment. My Mom likes living here and she has not had any issues. She has trouble with the key lock to her door and always has help. She has made fast friends. She enjoys the activities as it keeps her mind occupied. Prior to living here Mom lived with us and was alone most of the day. She said the 6 to 8 hours felt like days alone and she would get lost in her thoughts. As far as the carpets being a different color, they are. In the standard decorative way. The only time I have been exposed to a "not so delightful smell" is when someone has used their bathroom facility and just like at home probably needed to Febreeze it. My Mom's room is clean, free of bugs, everything to include the plumbing works. She is safe, she is warm, she is not alone, she is treated with respect. It is affordable, she likes the food, she leaves the facility and goes on trips with the bus. The only thing she would change is she would like family out of state to visit her more often and she wishes she would have moved in years ago! Oh and not all the residents are full of Joy, laughter and sunshine. That is the one downer Mom has too as she feels everyday you wake up is a blessing to be thankful for. I also work in the industry and this is a great place for the money. We have seen places double the cost and the only difference might have been more grounds outside to walk about. This was once a hotel off the highway that was converted to supportive living. So obviously you won't have a lot of grass, rolling hills and a pond with a fountain to see.

I feel sorry for the residents living here. Although there is a friendly atmosphere, you cannot ignore the dingy, smelly, and basically run down building. Dirty, mismatched old carpeting in the hallways, dirty resident doors, etc. Considering what they charge if you're coming in private, the furniture is disgusting and ripped. Don't let the pictures fool you. More importantly, the nursing staff is sub par, unprofessional and unqualified at best. They refer to the resident's as "independent" even though, sadly, many look like they need to be in a nursing home. My aunt liked the CNA's who were attentive.

This place is not good. The nursing staff, CNA"s and the physician that visits the facility are very unprofessional and should not be trusted to follow through with care or prescribe and give medications appropriately. They are not compassionate and caring. I would not recommend this place for Suppotive Living. They are very poor with the Supportive aspect other than laundry and apartment cleaning.

We toured this community when we were looking into care options for our loved one. This seemed like a very nice place, but it was intended for those who need financial assistance. Our loved one had too high an income to be placed here. It is definitely worth a look if you are looking into low-cost senior living!
